Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I thought they wanted Aguero but City said no? Of course City would prefer straight cash but Arsenal wouldn't accept that so close to deadline when it doesn't look like they're going to be able to bring in a replacement due to the Lemar stuff collapsing.
I've seen tweets of them wanting Aguero and others saying Sterling. If Arsenal didn't want to sell so close to the window, they could have either have sold him a month ago, or not sell him at all. The fact that they've decided to sell this late in the window is poor management, if they haven't got a replacement ready and shouldn't change the market value of Sterling.

Feck, all these tweets - and feck all about United!

Our end to transfer window is a damp squib.

Sanchez is miles better, but also only has 1 year left on his contract, is 6 years older and isn't a home grown English player. I'm surprised to see so many confused by that tweet as Sterling in these circumstances is worth more than Sanchez.
But even in those circumstances Sanchez is worth more, add in City are the buying club so should be trying to offer something decent.

This is fecking stupid. Neymar (200m) - you can understand since he's probably the third or fourth best. Mbappe (if it goes through) - sort of understand (sort of) as he's young and looks like he'll be one of the best in a few years. But Coutinho? He's not even the best forward at Liverpool... His numbers are shit and he's not even that good. What's he achieved at Liverpool? The square root of feck all.

I'm guessing this is reliant on us signing Lemar or another player in Coutinho's position first.

Can't say I'm all that upset if the figure being quoted is true.

Yeah now they're saying he's all fine now. Back injury was caused by stress?? WTF!!

Sounds like nonsense, there is no reason for the 'club reps' to overrule Mourinho if he wants Mahrez. I guess his reps are desperate to drum up some interest.

Yeah, don't think we've ever heard of 'our reps', whoever the feck may they be, blocking some transfer whatsoever.

Mahrez on deadline day
The club reps angle is bizzare though, so its probably bull

Wouldn't you?

Everyone would. It's the perfect opportunity to sell an unhappy player for 2-3 times his actual worth even this late in the window.

I don't think Barcelona would come back for him with these insane bids if they don't get him this week. It's the right time to take advantage of their desperation, take the money and if you can't sign a replacement before the deadline, keep Origi and focus on other weaknesses in your squad.
