Think Griezmann could well end up at Barca next season.
They really need younger players. Most their squad is approaching 30 and over. As for Griezmann it makes sense if he's replacing Suarez but I would imagine they'll be targeting over hauling the midfield first.

With their current President at the helm, anything is possible.

Dybala would be an odd fit at Barcelona.

He essentially occupies the same channels on the field that Messi does. I don't see how that would work out.

He would play around the space that Messi does. That's how it works at Barcelona.

The delusion coming from Barcelona is comical. Griezmann and dybala as plan b! Lol

Lemar I understand but Griezmann and Dybala are now Plan B for fecking Coutinho?

That's what's so funny about Barcelona, they haven't got a clue.

Completely lost it, Lemar is a reasonable target even though Monaco have refused Arsenal and Liverpool so far. But to try for Griezmann or Dybala as plan B's is utter madness.

Dybala isn't going nowhere not this season anyhow, he recently said he would stay at Juve for the rest of his career.

Griezmann's release clause at the moment is near enough the same as Neymar's fee, plus I'm still hoping the number 7 is being held for him next summer.

Barcelona have become a laughing stock this summer.

WHen the players dont sign , what can the clubs do. They dint allow them
Why is it that no other top club has these problems? Something is wrong at the club. I can understand players wanting to leave but not this. Coutinho wants to leave Liverpool, Dier wanted to leave Spurs but they still have/had years left on their contracts. Arsenal have Sanchez, Ozil and, I believe, Oxlade-Chamberlain with one year left on their deal. It doesn't make sense that Arsenal can be this bad.

On the conditions he would be allowed to leave next summer.
If he does not want to stay with Arsenal, why on earth would he sign a new contract with them, even with the understanding that he can move next summer. He can sign a pre-contract with another club in January and get a signing bonus that would be equivalent to a lot of countries GDP. If Arsenal want him to sign that contract to cash out on him, they could have simply done that this summer or earlier.

He will move before the transfer window closes, or else he will leave for free next summer, but one thing he is not going to be doing is signing a contract to help Arsenal recover money.

Imagine us wanting to spend 150mil on Perisic while saying Neymar and Hazard are Plan B.

I call bs on this, Barca want Coutinho to replace Iniesta for which their first choice was Veratti. How does it even make sense to have either Dybala or Griezmann in a mf position. This is just putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 10.

Arsene wenger's future was in the dark too before his 2 year renewal, Lack to clear plans of the future may have tempted the players to hold out and play the waiting game.

Also the club who taps up the player specifically instructs the player not to sign one.

Yes arsenal is at fault for dilliy dallying their decision on their clubs future plans and thats the reason i guess.

And Arsene thought it would be a good idea to start him at Anfiel
If he ends up at Liverpool then I don't see him ever putting a better performance at Anfield this season than the masterstroke he put in for Liverpool against Arsenal.

The pack it in was an obvious hyperbole. The fact of the matter is, attack is best form of defense. They don't need to have a good defense with an attack like that.

Exactly the same terrible City defence that shipped only ten goals more than us last season and they dont have De Gea. The fact is City drew too many games last season just like us, they have added B Silva and are chasing Sanchez to rectify this plus they have signed three very good full backs, which was a problem area for them.

I can see us improving on 6th for sure, maybe 3rd but more likely 4th imo. Rooney was pretty shit but currently we have replaced Zlatan and Rooney with Lukaku. For me that is clearly not enough for a team that scored 54 goals in 38 league games. We scored 49 the season before and brought in Zlatan which improved us by just 5 so its not guaranteed we do much better with Lukaku or City would with Sanchez.

I cant believe Jose can be 100% happy with what he has, his 4 main targets obviously did not include Zlatan so we are short a player. Maybe we still pull off a surprise?

Makes me sad that our transfer window is closing without a peep from us. I still think we need more to guarantee a CL place.

Id rather have Mahrez to be honest

besides this would make this the third time that cnut Sanchez has turned us down.
Udinese, Barca and now Arsenal. feck him
He's played for a big club before, couldn't cope with it.

Edit: Just noticed Utd Report are on the banned list, but they are using Duncan as a source here.

Griezmann to Barca makes a lot of sense, but of course I have been saying this for a while so I would say that. The idea that he, Dybala or Lemar would be a direct replacement for Coutinho is missing the point. Barca need to make a statement, I am not sure why Coutinho is that in their mind but the others I can see replacing Neymar in the team. Maybe they thought Coutinho would be easier to get.

Mahrez I would be a bit underwhelmed by, he has serious problems with his attitude imo, but if Jose trusts him I guess we will get to see.

Chelsea using a scatter gun over Drinkwater, Ox, Barkley it seems. Think they will get Drinkwater

I don't know if his attitude is that bad. Yes, he publicly said he wants to leave but he's still playing for the team. He hasn't been struck down with a mysterious ailment that will clear up immediately after the window closes, like Coutinho, or gone on strike like VVD.

Damning him with faint praise, I suppose.

I more thinking about in general and not this season, yes he has been good for a couple of games, but that comes after a relatively poor season, a golden season the year before and then not much before that. He seems to be good in a winning side, but that doesn't seem to fit with Jose's style or view of tough minded players.
