Trump Coronavirus (CV in US Politics)

Not that computer savvy. In a nutshell, what exactly does that mean?
Exchangeable image file format is a standard that specifies the formats for images, sound, and ancillary tags used by digital cameras, scanners and other systems handling image and sound files recorded by digital cameras

The data is usually stored on all photos ... its turned on by default in most cases.

You can sort images by locations, time, etc.

It is the sort of stuff you should clear when posting personal photos online.. especially if its from your home and you dont want the location public.

Not much. Voting has already started in a few states. Even without that, the sheer time it would take to reprint / send ballots would make it virtually impossible to undertake successfully.

People can always write in a candidate.

The GOP would no doubt do something to delay/postpone/null the result.

for the doctors - how different is dexamethasone from betamethasone? i take that about 4-5 times a year, its my emergency asthma medicine and is so dramatic in its effect it feels like it has saved my life.

Dexamethasone is the shit you get when you're dying of cerebral (or pulmonary) edema on an 8000m peak.

So either they're lying and Trump is seriously in a bad way, or he's not yet and they're giving him a treatment that is totally unwarranted (and might end up doing more harm than good)?

We're not going to know anything until he's either fully recovered or dead. They wont admit if he's not doing well, because if he does recover he'll have to answer about him not taking it seriously for months and bringing it on himself.

Are you referring to beclometasone? A brown inhaler (in the UK).

Dexamethasone is much more powerful than beclometasone and can be delivered in different ways. Dex is widely used in healthcare already, it's part of many chemotherapy regimens I prescribe as it acts as an anti-sickness, anti-inflammatory, appetite inducer, and anti-histamine. It's fantastic stuff when used in the right context.

They are all steroids. There are differences in potencies. A lot also depends on route of administration. What you get for asthma in inhalers is a much less dose than given for covid 19 via oral or IV or much less than steroids given for asthma exacerbations.

Trump on dexamethasone is not good. Him being on dexamethasone implies him being hypoxic (based on the recovery trial). I can't say for sure as they might be using dexamethasone when it shouldn't be, when one is not on oxygen

My dislike for Trump is well documented, but I don't understand how people expect minute by minute updates on a person's well being. He might be feeling great at 1 pm, like dying at 5 and okayish again in the evening. Other than the medication he's on and oxygen/ventilator status there's not much to say. And even if he did would we believe him?

If those medication reports are accurate - they appear to be racing through the stages.

Not necessarily racing through stages. If he was symptomatic say Wednesday it wouldn't be unusual to be on oxygen 4-5 days later.

I think the big question is if doctors would give him dexamethasone earlier (as in with milder symptoms) than they would “normal” patients, since he’s the president.

I guess it's how that squares with "hasn't needed oxygen today" and the general he's working/improving message that's hard to see. I honestly think they'd be better off with all the crew keeping their mouths shut (much like the Brits did with Boris) - but as they aren't, it seems to be conveying a story of someone who is deteriorating.

But yep, absolutely on the timeline - we don't know when symptoms started. It just sounds like they're stuffing every medicine they can into him, and given he's been on clinical trial drugs that doesn't sound great.

This was my initial thought as well. Trump will have access to everything regardless of what stage he's at.

If I recall correctly, this forum was mostly confident about Johnson being on a ventilator or already dead, with the officials postponing conveying the news.

This seems like that times hundred.

The problem this administration has it started lying from day one, with the spicer and others comments on the crowd size at the poorly attended inauguration. So now no one will believe anything they say.

Even his doctors are lying for him now. Yesterday they said he'd received no supplementary oxygen since arriving at the hospital. Today they admitted that this was untrue..
