UK Riots (with the exception of Manchester which has its own thread)

Surely, Manchester or Leeds should be made temp capital till this is sorted out?

There is a reason he was thrown out of the Labour Party - no doubt he has the mayoral elections on his mind.

He got thrown out because he wasn't playing nice with Blair's New Labour project abomination.....then Blair changed his mind when Ken won the election as an independent.

No brainer: Recall parliament. Cancel all police leave. Bring in army logistical support for emergency workers. Stop police cuts.

I'd like to see how the government justifies cuts to the police forces after these incidents.

RIOTS: Just to confirm there have been no riots around Anfield - that's what it always looks like.

Round them all up. Make them walk into town where they will have rotten veg and fruit thrown at them. Take all money off them, make them work for it by clearing up the mess they have made. and 50 of the best with a cane.

Speaking of which, did you see that the Tottenham ticket office and club shop were smashed up?

Did anyone just seen that Mark Stone report on Sky in Camden?

"Is this fun is it?" he asked the little turds.

Honestly this is feckin retarded. I think the less of this that they show on the news the better as far as preventing it spreading goes.

They're gonna need to get the hoses and rubber bullets out at this rate.

I did, they were just laughing and treating it like a game. To them it's like a real life Grand Theft Auto or something.

This wouldn't have happened had we Sharia Law in place.

The police are NOT doing a good job, why does everyone interviewed say how well they're doing?

Oh seriously!! c'mon. they are caught between a rock and a hard place. If they went in waving batons you would be moaning about police brutality

Because you don't want panic to spread to other areas, increasing more rioting or vigilantes taking the situation into their own hands.

He does that brilliant on the Live Forever CD.

Or was it live at the Roxy? Or Babylon by Bus? Can't remember.

I was quoting Bob in this thread earlier. Spooky.

Mad times, Adzz. I've been plagiarising Lambs and yourself.

Is it me or are most the reports excessively exaggerated or just plain BS?

If half the reports about "town X being on fire" or "Town Z being looted dry" were true, then surely London would look like Stalingrad now.

Mad times indeed, half of what I say is insane drivel - but please feel free to plagiarise me Spoony, our transfer bonds unite us like brothers.

Plus we're proper mancunians, so you know, brethren.

You don't know me at all! I realise they are constrained by our overly litigious society and the Human Rights Act but they should be on the offensive not just watching these criminals burn down buildings. I'd be all for breaking out the high pressure hose to disperse them, hell I'd be pleased if they issued a curfew and used tear gas on the crowds of thugs that refused to go home.
