I agree shooting people is moronic but things are already out of hand and are only going to get worse. The police can't cope and we don't need vigilantes taking matters into their own hands. The army brings additional man power which is lacking atm and is contributing the the violence. I'm sure the army has been trained to deal with people without killing them, that would be extremely helpful because as can be seen, the police are unable to cope.

Reports now that they are trying to gain access to the flats above Debenhams. fecking arseholes, there's one thing torching stores to make a statement which is bad enough and scum, but targeting innocent people and robbing their homes? fecking wankstains. There are no words.

I really don't think a lot of the youn rioters are concerned about any of that. They're more interested in free stuff and the thrill of wrecking things.
 
Me, Mockney and Plech went for a few pints in Shepherds Bush and saw nothing. Though the pub shut at 10 as the barman wanted to get back to Brixton.

No I agree mate, but it's a delicate issue. How can the Army defend themselves without weapons? Buy when rioters see the Army coming towards them with weapons, they're going to go apeshit, and either panic or go mental. People will get shot if the Army go in, mark my words.

This riot has nothing to do with the following:
* Policy
* Spending cuts
* Racism

This is about pure thuggery and opportunism and theft.
Bring in the army and shoot the fecking lot of them.

Walked through Bayswater earlier, it was crazy. There were three vans of police, no riot gear, looking very nervous. I walked on down the road and some of the shops were barricaded, there were guys in the windows of the family owned places with clubs, waiting. Further on down the road a crowd of about fifty or a hundred kids in hoodies were milling about, there was no anger at all, I walked through the middle of them and there was no sense of threat. They seemed a bit bored if anything, I think they were waiting till there were enough of them to make the rozzers irrelevant. There were more kids coming all the time in little groups of two or three or a few more from the estates around Paddington. Dunno what happened afterwards but on the news they briefly mentioned that there was trouble there.

I last saw Mockers, meanwhile, heading for Clapham :nervous:
