UK Riots (with the exception of Manchester which has its own thread)

Three bungalows set alight in Milton Keynes, fecking hell. Small fires reported in a number of places.

What the feck is going through these cretins minds? If they're angry at their social situation how on earth is setting residential property on fire in any way related to that?

SSN: All London football fixtures will be reviewed tomorrow, no reason to think matches outside London will be affected.

After Bham City Centre, it kicked on in handsworth last night, quite bad and it's worked it's way up soho rd into west brom. Now it's spreading, I think tonight is going to be a bad one. I'm going to the cricket in edgbaston that's still on but I have a funny feeling they'll call it off.

They need to call it off, it's stupid playing cricket when there is unrest in the city.

Anyone else think Twitter's to blame for all this shit?

Kicking off in town now Spoony...I'm not impressed at this, many I know aren't either. Think faces will be recognised and that's bad for them.

Pride in Manchester and proud of this city, the chavs can feck right off.

They can barely control 200 people, how are they going to control havov at a sporting event. Seems stupid to have it start tomorrow.

Apparently they're meant to be rioting in Bath tonight. I'm sure the local policeman is dusting off the old custodian helmet in preperation for an onslaught of somewhat miffed lower-middle-upper class youths as we speak. I don't really see it making quite as much of an impact as the London riots mind.

'Well we tried to loot the local Spar shop, but the rotters had already locked the blasted doors.'

Still, it will probably be the most notable occurence of social unrest in Bath since the local post office opened 20 minutes late on pension day.

I singled out the immigrants/minorities in my post because that's the issue I was commenting on.

At no point did I say they were the only ones involved in the riots.

 righto

Actually I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say 'home countries' was a typo for 'home counties'. In which case I agree, and would go further and include Oxfordshire. It's these economic migrants coming here, strutting round Hammersmith like they fecking own the place, that's what's pissed the kids off.

I have a dreadful image of myself in twenty years finding my kids studying the 'London 2011 Riots' from a text book.

You really think you're going to get a woman pregnant in the next couple of years?

twitter , BB Messenger and Facebook have contributed to the riots , I don't think there is any doubt to that

If people had called their mates to tell them where to go would phones be to blame? What if they used a phonebox, would it be BT's fault?

As long as it's still a textbook and not a bloody iPad20, I'll be happy

***Latest from London***

My sister's bricking it. And my in-laws have decided they want to drive round the city picking all of us up and driving away (where? Canada?)... 'kin crazy immigrants.

Someone just walked down my street shouting 'feckin saaf-side niggas on the west-side' followed by some sort of noise somewhere between a 'brap', a 'blaw' and a 'bwoar'.

This could be seen as a call to arms, ..........or is it alms.
