Giggs has greater composure in front of goal.

Because.

Probably because he thinks Giggs's pace could be important with Keown and Campbell around.

And in all honesty he got it right. Unfortunately, Ole and Giggs got it wrong with their chances!

This is not a match where Fergie's tactics have failed.

We seem to go through patches like this.. We dont take our chances and then get burned for it. Im not watching the game but it sounds like ARSE are playing better so even with the giggs miss they probably deserve to be in the lead. Having said that all we need is to score Damn OGS

they've taken their chances but i don't know if they've really been playing better than us.

I'm disturbed by the lack of a smiley there....

I think they have generally.

Playing more as a tight unit. All credit to them.

First goal was a fluke. And certain players started like headless chickens.

So not all SAF's fault but Wenger has outflanked Fergie with his tactics, learning from the last defeat at OT.

The selection of Jeffers enures he has 9 outfield players working hard on an off the ball. It only takes a couple of our players to misfire - as they have today - and we're right up against it. We should have reacted at HT when we were still in with a shout.

These are painful lessons, and ones I feel we should be learning from by now.

i agree with century why bring on TH i guess he feels that he can counter attack and break our spirit this is all physco shit for the game later this year at highbury

come on united
at least one!!!!!!!!!!!! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

I'm a bit concerned about the lack of opportunities for Ruud. He usually gets a few even if he misses.

agreed he appears to have trumped SAF again. They will have all of the positives out of this game but it could make them to cocky when we play them later

Wenger hasn't trumped anybody for god sakes. We missed an empty goal, they got one with a deflected free kick after no having a shot on target.

Thats that. Unlucky, but thats the way football goes.

If we scored first we'd have won.

I'd have to disagree there, Amir. Much as I hate to admit it.

Plus, as one commentator here said, their big game players are playing up to their level - and today ours haven't.

Anyway, still time to do some damage. C'mon Utd <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

there is no basis for that statement...</strong><hr></blockquote>

Not really. But what did Arsenal do in attack before their goal? A few corners and free kicks.

Goals change matches and the first goal today was vital. Arsenal barely created a thing.

We generally play with a more defensive formation these days. Sometimes it works well with fluidity in our play, but it hasn't created a lot of goals.

We've forgotten how to utilise 4-4-2.

Yes and no.

The writing was on the wall at half time. In big 15 foot high letters. As it was after an hour of the derby game last week.

Everything is.

But Phil Neville deserved a chance today. He would surely have been up for it.

Horrible performance. No final ball, no finish of the chances we do get.
