Man Utd take an early lead against Wolves when John O'Shea heads his first goal for the club from Diego Forlan's corner

O'Shea's goal in the tenth minute threatens to open the floodgates but Wolves manage to reach half-time without conceding further goals

Meanwhile looks like Freddy Shepherd's going to be speaking to his Bank Manager unless the toon can get another goal against Partizan......

:nervous: :nervous: :nervous: moments here. We look like we could concede a last-second goal...

Those are alo my thoughts. 'Kinell, keep hitting the refresh button on livescore waithing for that FT by our match. Disapointing performance.

FT 1-0. *phew*

The best part of this is that we played with an experimental team, played very poorly, and still won.

so where are the 5-0 9-0 thing? we were lucky not to concede goals. coz camara has got at least 3 close chances.

What a disappointing performance... :(

At least we got the 3pts and are back above Citeh...

Was it Djemba or Kleberson who kept giving the ball away in midfield and helped create a Wolves attack?

Not over-impressed but in fairness, I don't think they should both have been introduced at the same time.

Our passing has been woeful tonight. Diego was OK in the first half, but reverted to the headless chicken role (which he has mastered beautifully) in the second.

Imo we should have played Scholes and Giggs to start with, hopefully scored a few, and then maybe introduced the new lads at five or 10 minute intervals. It would have helped Ronaldo to have a more stable midfield around him.

I wouldn't give any of them more than five except JOS and Keane who get 6.75 and 6.5 respectively.

And Fergie gets a 4. ;)

djemba is playing great IMO. its ronaldo and ole that played too wide leaving kleberson and djemba the new guys who just playing together in the midfield.

I was less than impressed with Kleberson & Djemba Djemba's contributions today, hope they get better soon.

Kind of hoiped to see Ronaldo take that freekick, hope we see more of him on Sunday.

John 7.5
Keano 7
Diego 6 (you're right, he disappeared in the second half)

Everyone else... let's just say no rating. ;)

Agreed that it would have been better not to pair up Djemba-Djemba/Kleberson tonight. I think we underestimated them. Luckily, we got away with it.

Thankfully Giggs and Scholes came on in time and we looked a lot better after they came on even if didn't score that second goal.

Made for a very nervous second half though.

Djemba looked like he was doing a Gerrard impression today, playing those Hollywood passes all the time and giving possesion away. :(

I'm not disagreeing because something was definitely wrong tonight - but Beckham and Giggs were criticised for not playing wide enough!

Totally wrong move to put Kleberson and Djemba together for the first time in such an important area.

playing our 2nd XI (almost), leaving the poo 7 points behind with less than two weeks of football gone.
can't be that bad

It was fecking daft to be predicting those huge scorelines to begin with. Hopefully a few people will refrain from that sort of arrogance next time.

Anyway, I'm happy with the win, and not overly upset with the performance as that wasn't really a proper team.

how serious is Ole's injury?

maybe we will see Ronaldo starting on the right on Sunday?

I still think it's best to bring him on when we're winning rather than put pressure on him.

Diego can play there - and if Ole is fit, he should get a game up front because it's a waste of a natural goalscorer.

well at least we got the 3points, we will look better against southampton i believe.

and dont forget, scouse bastards cant moan coz drawing is the best they can get. :wenger:
