Ole wins a corner...Giggs to take...whipped in to Mikky, but headed wide.

Lehmann came for it and got knocked over with a pack of players, too bad it didn't fall in the box.

GREAT tackle by Keano on some Arse player running in on goal. Got him from behind, but very cleanly.

Ole played in down the right, he shoots at the near post and it's turned behind, but a goal kick is given.

Ljungberg has a deflection look like it might chip Howard, but it goes over and Tim had it covered anyway. Corner, Tim catches it easily again.

HT 1-1. Could well be 3-1 up. Defense looking very good. Ruud's been quiet. Some bad ref's decisions have cost us. It was never a free kick. Giggs was not offside when through on goal and OLE's shot was saved by Lehrman for a corner which never came. Giggsy's header against the post and Ruud over from one yard out. Looks hot out there.
 
Howard sure didn't impress on the freekick. He reacted too late. The ball was already over the wall when he took his first step to the right. A freekick from that distance shouldn't end up in the net. It was way to long and Henry didn't hit it with much force at all. Howard may still be a great keeper but he's far from perfect right now.
 
I think we played well for the first half..
and finally a goal from corner. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

think because of the heat which explained why the slow pace of the game.

But Fortune IMO did played very well.

The reason he reacted late was because he didn't see the ball, that's why a lot of teams don't put up a wall from that distance.

yeah I agree that this is the role of GK to arrange the proper wall but def's shoul cooperate with him and listen his orders. It will surely improve.

I thought both he and Ole played well in the first half.

I don't know where Quinton's developed this aggression from. Since the match against Liverpool last year, he just seems a lot tougher and meaner (in a good way).

Scholes great job to beat Vieira and knock it on for Giggsy, the cross comes to Ruud... he looked to be tackled from behind, he didn't reach the ball. Our players thought it was a penalty.

Corner Arse, cleared behind for another corner.

Pires to take... Gilberto fouls, FK us.

That was no penalty on Ruud, he just couldn't reach the ball. There was definitely contact by Cole though.

Vieira booked for a clumsy tackle on Quinton.

Scholes booked now for kicking Lauren. He laughs it off.
 
The ball takes a funny bounce and Pires looks to be through on goal. Keano and Rio (I think) chase him down and he shoots from far out, and it goes well wide.

Howard hasn't had a difficult save to make, but he's looked very good coming out to claim balls with players bearing down on him, etc.
