Ruud was in the box, about 10 m out, little bit to the left facing away from the goal with a man on his back. I am not sure who passed the ball, one touch to settle the ball and without even looking flicks it in the right corner. I think that the ball richochet from the goalis legs on its way.
 
Solskjaer being held, gives it to Ruud... Ruud goes past one man, holds, plays back to Ole (now in the box) who scuffs the shot under pressure.

Our attack is looking very classy so far.
 
Carrol bobbles a high ball at the top of the box after running through a crowd, Gaz clears.

John called for a foul after getting stuck in (clean tackle imo). Carrol saves and holds the FK.
 
Ole gets a pass about midfield 10 m from the left out line, outruns a Celtic midfielder although beehing held down (clear foul, probably a yellow in a regular game), and the passes the ball to the right wing where Rudd receives the ball, gets Varga on his ass while nietly dribling pass the defender and puts a slow cross in the middle, Ole received the ball about 5 m in front of the goal but gets pushed from the back and hits the ball weak.

Spot on. Though I'd add we look a little rusty in the defense, but that could be owing in part to the fact that only Rio and Gary are in their normal spots.

The match finally looks to be settling after a fast, end-to-end start.
 
Larson takes the free kick and bends it over the wall heading it in the left bottom corner. Caroll makes a nice effort to defend the ball.

The penalty earlier resulted from a nice backheel pass from larson to Petrov enabling him a clear shot at the goal. Keane tackled him from side/behind to prevent a clear goal.

RVN is total class...follows up his rebounded shot (of the keeper) and feeds a streaking Giggs who slams the shot through a cluster of players.

Celtic having most of the ball, but they're not doing much with it.

Ruud and Giggs are our best players so far, they both look dangerous every time they get the ball


GIIIIGGGSSSYYYYY!!!!!

Ruud played in down the right, speeds into the box, his shot is blocked by an onrushing keeper, he gets it back, protects it and plays it back for Giggs to blast home.

Starting around last Christmas, Ruud has looked pacier and pacier every time I've seen him! :eek:

Giggs really orchestrating things here.
