I am very against tiki takanaccio too, but I don't think that Van Gaal actually likes that. His teams to me looked different to Pep's teams/Del Bosque's Spain. More attacking, players actually are free to shoot and he loves to play with width almost as much as Fergie.
Hiwever yeah, I would have preferred a manager who loves more attacking football but that manager (Klopp) isn't available. It is the most attractive way of playing IMO and I love that.
However LVG isn't someone who'll stay here for long. I like him mostly because players improve movement and passing under him and he promotes a lot of youth. I think that the team will be in good condition after 3 or so years when he leaves and will have the right infrastrucuture for the next manager to shine. Until then I hope that Klopp will become available or one of Giggs/Ole is ready to become the manager.
Discussions have been held with representatives of Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, Southampton full-back Luke Shaw, Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho and Paris St-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, while Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas is another player on United’s radar.
Van Gaal is aware of United’s targets and, while he may also pursue Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, he is believed to be happy with the target list drawn up by Moyes.
How do we want him to do in the world cup if he gets the job
Well, terrible. If he gets to the final for instance He'll only get here a couple of weeks after pre season starts. I actually wonder who is supposed to draw up and implement the early training plan.
I always like to see Holland do well anyway but it'll be good for our manager to arrive on a high. All the squad who've been involved will surely get a bit of a rest after the World Cup anyway so he won't be missing hugely important time with the squad if he's in Brazil till late in the tournament. How do we want him to do in the world cup if he gets the job
Everyone is getting exited now! Hopefully we bring the players listed there, we could be in for a great summer lads!
I think he'd be really good especially as he'd offer something different. If we are to continue with quick wing-play he would be a good target in the box. It is just what do you do with him, RVP and Rooney? feck it though I'd rather have the selection headache then let Chelsea or someone grab him.Don't know why people are so down on Cavani. We've just had our lowest scoring season in God knows how long and we're fussy about signing a player who has scored on average 30 goals a season over the last 4 years.
He may be pricey but with RVP's injury worries it could make sense.
We don't need a complete rebuild like Savage and a few others are suggesting. A couple of central midfielders, a left back, a CB and a right back are enough to make us title challengers.Everyone is getting exited now! Imagine all 6 of them. Muppet overload and it ain't even summer yet.http://www.givemesport.com/461395-v...or-funds-to-sign-100m-german-trio?autoplay=on
Louis van Gaal is desperate to ensure that he is made Manchester United boss sooner rather than later, and is already seeking assurances that he will be given the money to sign three German internationals in the summer.
According to the Daily Mail the Dutchman has prioritised the signings of Marco Reus, Toni Kroos and Mats Hummels, but is well aware that the trio could cost in excess of £100million. As such he wants to know whether or not the funds will be made readily available for him, so that he can conduct the business he sees fit in order to improve the current squad.
add to those 3 the players we are already well on the way to signing...Carvalho, Shaw and Cavani.![]()
Really hope we don't get him. I prefer to wait to see the status of Guardiola, Simeone, or Ancelotti, even if all are highly unlikely, and even if it means we risk missing out on van Gaal.
I am not disputing his quality, he just has an annoying arrogance.
