If any crazy old puffy red cheeked person is going to take over then it has to be ferguson.

They're not all the same of course. If Van Haal successfully brings more technical and progressive football to United it will benefit us long term IMO.If any crazy old puffy red cheeked person is going to take over then it has to be ferguson.
As a British person I of course love it when clubs have a British core, I've been brought up that way I love seeing British lads getting a go.
Is anyone slightly worried that with it looking like LvG will take over, with him being our non-british manager, that we will lose that tradition we have always had of retaining a decent British core?
This generations lot are starting to break in IE Welbeck, Cleverley, Smalling, Jones, Powell etc but what about other than them?
I hope we don't go down the City/Arsenal Route.
Starting XI of 1 Englishman and 10 Imports or something.
Thoughts? What is Van Gaals record with homegrown players wherever he has managed?
LVG comes from an Ajax background where the infrastructure of the club and the playing style is paramount. If he was to take on the job of rebuilding the first team, but also ensuring the infrastructure was sustainable I think he would love that. It would be a fitting end to his career. Maybe he could do for us what Cruyff did for Barca. As a British person I of course love it when clubs have a British core, I've been brought up that way I love seeing British lads getting a go.

I don't really want him as our manager unless we couldn't get Klopp after fully going for him. It would be a shame if we didn't try and at least get a guy who's age and style would be perfect. Van Gaal plays good too but his age and potential pandering to RVP put me off a bit.

Will we go after Klopp in the same way like we went after Fabregas the whole summer and finally end up with Tony Pulis?![]()
Pulis wouldn't be so bad. He could give Rooney one of his hats.

I quite like Pulis
But i imagine there is a list of good managers who want this job now. Its accepted the squad needs an overhauland can't do worse. But Klopp should be number 1 target. Then we go for Van Gaal
United are confident of landing Holland coach Louis van Gaal as his replacement once they have tied up details of the manager's severance package.
The Barclays Premier League champions have already made contact with the Dutchman and he wants to join United after the World Cup.
Its' going to be Klopp. I can feel it in the force![]()
I'm not very convinced with Van Gaal, but I'm sure we'd at least be doing a lot better than now
Pulis would probably be doing as well as Moyes right now anyway...
I mean, he couldn't do worse could he? Jesus, he's made Palace a premier league side, let's see Moyes do that
next season on coach swap

Then live in the past I guess.I don't want technical or progressive football. I want ferguson.
No he just can fall out with players and be abrasive to the media. Is Val Haal bad at handling big names and media scruitiny?
Yeah but does he deal with it well. Fergie could often fall out with players but he handled it well. Same with the media. He spoke a lot of crap sometimes but it never affected the team.No he just can fall out with players and be abrasive to the media.

He is but he is a damn fine coach and will be entertaining for us fans.Isn't that the same thing?
The guy seems completely enamoured with himself..
I don't understand why people are afraid of his confrontational nature. Need I remind you of Sir Alex and how demanding he was?
Stinker because it would mean Australia would of beat the dutchLooks like he'll be our man. Do we want the guy to do well at the WC..or have a stinker so he comes back early?

Im really not a fan of his. I think this particular job is beyond him at this stage of career.
It's pretty much nailed on isn't it. 2 year deal seems sensible. All the best Lou.
