West Ham United vs. Manchester United

Not at all confident about this. West Ham roll over for Chelsea and Arsenal but always play like men possessed vs us.
And major crisis at right back.

Rio, Fletch, Raf, Brown, O'Shea all out of the game tomorrow.

Anderson is apparently fit.

Back line of Evra, Vidic, Smalling, Fabio?

Not too confident in that - don't like the inexperience of the right side.

You wouldn't like a midfield of Gibson, O'Shea and the Da Silvas but it beat a much more experienced Arsenal side. Easy solution, move Vidic Right and Smalling left. The alternative is Carrick CB, Gibson RB, Giggs LB and/or Park filling a slot. Against the worst team in the league (in my opinion) Fabio should be okay.

Van der Sar
Fabio
Vidic
Smalling
Evra
Nani
Carrick
Giggs
Valencia
Berbatov
Rooney

Subs:
Kuszczak
O. Gill
Gibson
Anderson
Park
Hérnandez
Owen

Look at his amazing fact:

Away from home, however, they have won just four of their 15 games, taking just 20 of their 63 points on the road.

West Ham, by contrast, have won 19 of their 32 points at Upton Park and, in their last four games played on April 2 are unbeaten, winning two and drawing two.

So we have scored more points away from home than they have scored at home...

van der Sar, Kuszczak, Amos
Evra, Smalling, Vidic, Fabio, Gill
Anderson, Giggs, Park, Carrick, Nani, Valencia, Obertan, Gibson
Owen, Berbatov, Rooney, Hernandez

I imagine will be the matchday squad.

No Hargreaves, Ferdinand, Brown, Scholes, Rafael, O'Shea, Evans, Fletcher or Lindegaard for one reason or another!

No Scholes

Draw written all over this. Our away form is awful, West Ham are in good form and we're missing big players.

2-2.

We'll go down by 2 goals then come back.

We have 10 Defenders with first-team squad numbers, and five of them are out for this game. Our Midfielders who could cover Right Back are also out.. ._. While Scholes is still suspended.

I want to see that team, but I wouldn't be surprised if Berbatov is left on the bench in favour of a 433. Giggs or Park could start in the middle to pack the midfield, due to us lacking Defenders.

I hope the players will be chomping at the bit to get out and play some good football..

VDS
Fabio-Smalling-Vidic-Evra
Valencia-Carrick-Anderson/Gibson-Nani
Berbatov-Cnut

Would rather Hernandez start ahead of cnut but I think SAF will go with a 442 for this.

I don't think we will concede. 0-2 United.

I think we might have half an eye on Chelsea. I think Gibson could get a game, possibly rest Nani.

Give it a rest soapy for feck sake

Hopefully Berba and Chicho will start upfront, with Ando getting some time too.

I'll be happy with a 0.5-0 win

I don't think we'll be resting any of our best forward / midfielders with eye on Chelsea. Defense is where we are hurting.

Wingers now we have Giggs, Park, Valencia, Nani
Forwards - Berbatov, Chicha, Rooney, Owen
CM - Scholes, Carrick, Anderson, Gibson

For the Chelsea game we have a lot of options but, this game is a must win at a tough ground. Chelsea game we just need to get a score draw or keep a clean sheet. For that game we also have Evans available and possibly Rafael.

Ferdinand has Chelsea game in mind for Man Utd comeback - Yahoo!Xtra Sport

Rio Ferdinand could be back for Manchester United when they meet Premier League rivals Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The 32-year old centre-half has been sidelined since February 1 with a calf injury which threatened to keep him out for the rest of the season.

But United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said the former England captain could be in line for a Champions League return.

"Rio has started training. He has only been training two days and then just a light session today," he said.

"I have to decide whether we bring in him tomorrow, or give him a day off and start him on Wednesday again."

some good news finally....

This is going to be a very tough game. With our injuries, and they are playing very well at the moment. :nervous:

Am I the only one who sees that the Hammers are no better than any random Championship side like Middlesborough? The sooner they are relegated the better.

Early kick off on a Saturday thats live on Sky? Damn we never seem to play well in these.

Last season the defence had Brown, Neville, Evra and Fletcher was barely troubled with the forward line, it was West Ham's poor pitch that caused the trouble. Vidic and Smalling are too good for West Ham, heck even Evans, just that last time out the back four were out of form and two were carrying knocks. The two wingers who didn't work were playing hard enough too.

The team out will be better than the one who last at the Hammers last time, Fabio and Smalling will have better games.

Backs against the wall a bit on this one - so expect a win.

A few key players out, poor away form and facing a bogie team.

I'm hoping for Rooney to turn it on for this one. In the last couple of games his precision passing and dangerous through-balls have been brilliant. It's his bread-and-butter passing that hasn't been up to scratch but I'm sure he'll nail that soon.

That's a bit silly they've got a lot of good players who have performed badly, they'll probably stay up.

Poor to God awful defense + Lazy midfield + Sloppy Forward line + Goalkeeper overdependence + Denial of table reality = Poor Team

Parker & Hitzelsberger are good players, but their careers are tailing off and they are injury prone and reaching retirement age respectively.

They are very few difference between them and the Middlesborough of a couple of seasons. Rubbish defenders like what they have (and they're worse than sides like Wolves and co) will ensure they go down.

No Rio, Fletcher or Scholes. That is a worry. If we go 4-4-2, it will be Anderson and Carrick in central midfield.
