West Ham vs. Manchester United

Three possible scenarios...

Scenario 1: You lot play us off the pitch, we sneak a goal (probably through Carlton Cole), Rob Green and our defence play a blinder. 1-0

Scenario 2: You lot play us off the pitch in the first half, leading 1-0, we equalise with twenty minutes to play, Rob Green and our defence play a blinder. 1-1

Scenario 3: You lot play us off the pitch, Rob Green and the defence play a blinder, Ronaldo gets dodgy penalty mid-way through second half and scores, we throw everything at you, Tevez gets brilliant breakaway goal after slick passing move involving Rio and Carrick, crowd give him deserved applause. 2-0

Oh, and Robbie Keane misses a penalty for Spurs against Reading.

Or

Scenario 4: You lot play us off the park, Ronaldo gets 2, Rooney gets 2 and Tevez scores an overhead kick in the 93rd min. Rob Green plays shit, as do the defence and Freddie Ljungberg misses two open goals early on. 5-0

More chance of that then Scenario 1 unfortunately :(

This is just the game for Ferguson to give a full ninety minutes to Dong, Fletcher and O'Shea.

Curbs will be most impressed and buy all three in January.

--------VDS-------
Wesley - Rio - Vida - Evra
Ronaldo - Anderson - Hargreaves - Giggs
Rooney - Tevez

1-3

WH: Cole
MU: Tevez x 2, Ronaldo

I'd be more than happy with a 1-nil, the Hammers always play a blinder against us and get lucky, but it's also about time we beat them.

I don't think SAF/Quieroz are going to drop Saha after his goals against Sunderland.. Tevez starts from the bench but is able to get a goal in the 2nd half..

Carrick+Anderson to start in midfield and Pique/Park to get a healthy run as well..

For some reason I dont think 1-0 will do need a 2 goal lead and then the game is over, I predict 2-0 good guys

I very much look forward to this game.

United have no new injury worries ahead of Saturday's trip to
West Ham, but Sir Alex Ferguson is taking an enlarged squad to Upton Park in
preparation for all eventualities.

At a time of year sudden sickness is rife, the United manager is taking no risks as his side look for a sixth successive Premier League victory

"We're taking a big squad down tomorrow for the game with West Ham," Sir Alex told his pre match press conference. "We're taking 20 players down, keeping them all together because you never know at this time of year. Utilising the squad is important. We freshened up the other day by leaving Ryan, Tevez and Anderson out (against Sunderland). Tomorrow we'll make some more changes. Hopefully that brings the right freshness and gets us the right result.

The confidence as a team is good, the form is good so we're going into the game in the right frame of mind. It's never easy at West Ham, of course. They beat us twice last season so we expect a tough game but in the form we're in we're looking forward to it."Owen Hargreaves will be among the travelling party for Saturday's match, but goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has not recovered in time to feature. "Edwin is not fit for tomorrow, he's still out but Tomasz is doing very well," Sir Alex revealed. "He starts training tomorrow and he could be back for Biemingham

Cockney you should give us the updates from WH not our news.

One stat that i dont like its that United have not scored too many goals against Green.

Utd 2 - 1 Norwich (04/05)
Norwich 2 - 0 Utd (04/05)

West Ham 1 - 0 Utd (06/07)
Utd 0 - 1 West Ham (06/07)

Just 2 goals on 4 games against him and they were from Bellion and Smith that are gone.

Well in that case;

In goal were going to play the mascot as we cant really see you lot testing the keeper and want to give Green a break. (OK I wish, Green in goal obviously)

In defence James Collins is fit to return as is Gabbidon and Ferdinand meaning Curbs has plenty of choice of who to partner Upson with at CB. Neill and McCartney will play right and left back respectively. Spector is widley expected to feature on the bench

In the middle Parker has cemented his place but Noble is now pushing for Mullins place and could well get to start tomorrow. On the left Boa Morte looks set to replace Ljungberg. On the right Solano will start. Bowyer could also be included as a substitute.

Up front Zamora is still out as is Bellamy . Ashton and Cole will most likely start with Camara on the bench.

Likely formation

Green

Neill Upson Gabbidon McCartney

Solano Parker Noble Boa Morte

Ashton Cole

Wright, Spector, Collins, Ljungberg, Camara

Looking forward to this one. Will be a tough game, another good test for Anderson, possibly Nani.
I hope we play Giggs, we'll need some cool heads, as Upton Park can be intimidating.

Anderson to score his first goal for us (gonna say that befo every heckin game of us til that day he scores)

Evra to score an overhead kick with his head. (headache) *waiting for the shift to end*

That is a good team. Green is very good and Neill, Upson and Gabbidon are very solid. From what I have seen, McCartney is a bit of a weak link - he looks short of pace to me.

Solano is a dangerous player, and the one in their team who can create. Ashton looks like he's getting towards full tilt as well.

Neill has actually been our weak link this season, McCartney has been a real revelation, in fact in some matches he has been our best player mainly due to his pace and his overlapping runs down the left.

Parker is the dogs bollocks at the moment and it will be between him and Green for the man to watch for us.

Ashtons doing OK, but still lacking fitness and sharpness, he's got a real test tomorrow though and I would expect him to bag a goal at least

Fair enough. I've thought that, despite the stories about extortionate wages, Neill always puts the commitment in and he has good quality.

Ashton has a goal against United in his career and will be the one to watch.

Since VDS and Foster are both out, who'll be the back-up to Kuczcak in case of an injury to him? Heaton? Was he even on the bench against Sunderland?

If we keep Solano and Parker quiet and make sure Ashton doesn't get much space, we should have enough quality in attack to come away with the win. The hammer's home-form isn't that great either and they don't have their match-winners against us from last season. It will still be a tough one till the end but I expect Rooney to continue his recent good form and score at least one.

West Ham 0-2 United

:D I've never seen Heaton play, he's 22 years old in april. Is he any good?

I don't remember him playing in the league or CL for us this season but I think he played in at least one of our pre-season friendlies and from what I recall he was decent. I think he'll be a decent back-up and definitely not too worried if he has to come on.
