West Ham vs Manchester United

i would bring berba in around the 60th min mark, to help us keep possession. with truly makeshift defense, we need to keep the ball as well as possible and berba would help us with that.

99th league goal ..
he has scored a lot more for 'united'

I agree, bringing on Berbatov in the second half would give the defence an outlet so they can look for the long ball.

Hopefully we can keep it solid.

Gibson's not ready. Playing very poorly.

Other than that, we've been very good, especially when you consider the injury problems we're having!
Completely in control of the game, but other than that Scholes beauty, we've not had many chances.
I'd like to see Berbatov come on for Gibson. Rooney needs some help up front, he's quite isolated at the moment.

Tumbling with a sneaky delete there

Gibson has been poor. The technique just isnt there. Get Berba on.

That makes no sense.

His ability to play a long ball is the third best in our team, behind two very talented passers in Scholes and Carrick.

His ability to hit a shot is the best in the team.

He doesn't pick the right times to shoot, and he can't find the space to get a good pass or shot going, though. That's intelligence - the ability to find space, not technique.

Think some of you are harsh on Gibson. He may not be having the best game, but he isn't as bad as some of you are saying.

I think Scholesy is judging Gibson by today's match alone in which I would agree and say he's had a bad match in terms of technique. I don't think his first touch or passing has been all there. But I think he's done a decent job in terms of stretching West Ham's midfield and defence which hasn't really been picked up on.

His first touch has been woeful.
His passing has been below par.

But if your pleased with him, then you are watching a different game.

I do wish this Gibson bashing would stop...he is slowly making his way into the team..for goodness sake lets give him a chance to get acclimatised to it. All young players need this experience. Sure he miss hits...poor passes sometimes..but feck sake so does Rooney!!!!!

I'm not saying he's bad, just that he's much more suited to being a deep-lying midfielder

Corrected 99th.

Wind your neck in and get your feckin chants right sunshine.

'Hardest man' in all the town.

Well when it was actually created...in a pub on an away game last season (semi final CL vs Arsenal) we were singing the version which I have written.

It has since been modified.

I have not obviously got around to changing my "location"

sorry twat.

I was thinking that. Gibson hasnt been shit. His shooting (well execution) has been poor but its not like hes been dominated or anything.

The team havent looked great but its been decent enough and weve had some good attacks.

Oh and we also need to find a way to clone Giggs and Scholes.

With the defence, might be time for united to park the bus in front of the goal and go for 1-0.

Gibson has been shocking today, even though I've no expectation from him. I miss Berbatov any chance he would play in 2nd half?

Agreed, Gibson has been alright and he's young and still getting used to Premier League / first team football.

That said I still want to see Berbatov replace him

I agree with that just, because the shots are not coming off today does not mean he has become suddenly crap

Never...

They have nothing going forward really...we should press on for the second and maybe third if we're lucky.

Nah, I thought he picked the right time 3 times today, the execution has just been terrible.

In general, would you say his shooting technique is very good?

His first touch has been woeful.
His passing has been below par.

Not today. Who said we were talking about today?

'His technique isn't good enough' is a general statement, my reply was entirely based around that general statement.

Playing poorly and not having good technique are two entirely different things. Scholesy's had games when his passing and shooting have been off, doesn't mean he hasn't got the technique.

PIG has to be alert for the through ball right after the start of the 2nd half
