That's more than I expected. You'd say a leader shouldn't survive that.
 
That's probably the worst case scenario for the Tories. More votes against than May, but Boris still in power. Good news for the rest of us.

I was wondering if that would be the best result long term. The longer he’s there the better chance of ousting them. It’s the short term pain his remaining may cause that worries me.
 
Rebels screwed up with the timing. If they did the vote after the byelections, Johnson would have been a goner.
 
Boris has at least another year, before there can be another vote.
But with 148 against him, but he wont be going anywhere, he wont resign.
Those that voted against him will fall in line in government votes.
