He won’t win. But he’s a monumental gambler and that is his only way out. He’s also a huge narcissist who will think he will win.Cos he’d win, albeit with a likely reduced mandate but win nonetheless.
Let’s him reset the 5 year term and all.
Boris is a buffoon, but Labour with Starmer in change is un-voteable.
Why?Boris is a buffoon, but Labour with Starmer in change is un-voteable.
Well that caf poster got banned for the 15th time last week so he's gotta write it somewhere. The U.K. might not thank me, but get the contract out, put it on the table, let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there -- given what he's done since he's come in -- and let him sign the contract and go
Boris is at the wheel, man -- he's doing his thing. The Tories are back!

I trust him even less that Boris, but I could never vote for the Tory's so I would have to vote for Labour. Why?

fair pointAmazing how people can say this. He’s never even been in power and yet he’s trusted less than the guy who lies for a living? People said the same about Corbyn. It’s bollocks.
How do they know this? I thought it was an anonymous ballot?

Hmm fair point.Math. They know how many are on the payroll and it's a safe assumption most of them will have backed Boris. It won't be far off 75% of backbenchers.
No idea why people don’t like Starmer. I’ve heard it from mates etc too.
Same, then again some of them keep quoting the Saville lie.No idea why people don’t like Starmer. I’ve heard it from mates etc too.

God it was so painful. Safe to say it needs more work. I was more convincing this morning when trying to motivate my son that Monday was a ‘day to shine’ when he couldn’t be arsed to get out of bedStarmer been working on his loud angry voice I see. Burnham like.
Keep justifying your tory vote.
never voted Tory in my life and never will.Keep justifying your tory vote.
He talks like he is still in court and would get interrupted by the judge for breaching etiquette for being too loud.God it was so painful. Safe to say it needs more work. Yeah that’s basically what I’ve found. I won’t pretend to know lots about him but he comes across pretty sincere to me whenever I’ve heard him speak. Working class background, did an actual job, all good signs compared to rolling off the Eton production line like most of the current crop.It shows you how influential the media is in this country.
The vast majority of it is right wing and they just drip feed nonsense and lies about Starmer and loads of people fall for it.
When you actually ask people why they don't trust or like Starmer they have feck all reasons usually. It's just stuff like "oh he looks shifty" or " they're all as bad as each other"
I can understand the notion that Starmer is boring, uncharismatic and unappealing but he has almost no record, the man is just bland. How can anyone distrust him more than Boris?Plenty in 2019 disliked Boris but disliked Corbyn more and voted Tory.
A fair proportion of the next Labour vote will be based on people thinking Starmer is less bad than Boris. There's no way any party gets 14 million true believers to vote for them every 5 years.
This is exactly why people don’t trust him, he’s oratory delivery comes across as guarded. In comparison to Boris, who delivers his bullshit with such gusto that people see it as honest man-of-the-people stuffHe talks like he is still in court and would get interrupted by the judge for breaching etiquette for being too loud.
You should be on Sky. Great effort.A significant win for Boris
This is me and I will admit it, I don't really understand politics. It shows you how influential the media is in this country.

There’s no way around this, this is a hugely embarrassing result for Johnson, with a higher % of his own MPs voting against him compared to May in December 2018.
Take out the MPs on the government payroll, and this really hammers home how deeply unpopular he is with his own back benchers. Hopefully he has been mortally wounded.
I can’t forgive him for this antics during the EU referendum, amongst many other things, so in a political sense I hope he suffers as much pain and humiliation as possible.
Fair play for admitting itThis is me and I will admit it, I don't really understand politics.
Maybe I should start to understand it more

There was that, as well as the fact that just before the actual invasion, when the US and UK intelligence was telling them that an invasion was imminent, Macron was telling people it was not likely.
But anyway. This is not about Macron and I should not have mentioned it in this thread.
