Mordaunt is going to win this. I don’t think Rishi wins the members vote.

You’d expect anti Rishi MPs to vote Mordaunt I guess as the votes go on. That membership pole will do her the world of good vs Truss.
Last year I hated the idea of “Super Rishi” taking over as PM because I thought he was smart and had his shit together.
I now relish the idea, he’s an incredibly weak front man. With only the most minuscule level of scrutiny he becomes indignant and shows his contempt for the questioner and subject of the questioning. He’s also prone to saying some really dumb shit that only someone who has never lived in the real world would say.

I honestly can't see Sunak lasting until christmas. He'd be a crazy choice.
Mordaunt at least has a thin veneer of credibility, if only because not many will have heard of her.
I have absolutely no idea what Mordaunt would do as PM, bar wrapping herself in the flag and accusing Labour of hating the UK. That itself scares me.
Sunak is incompetent.
But Truss in charge worries me the most out of the three, in terms of the potential damage she would do to the UK, domestically and in our international relations.
The idea that any current Tory MP can unite this Tory Party is hilarious. They haven’t finished eating each other. There is currently 358 ideas of what Brexit looks like.

With his track record as chancellor? He's probably the best outcome as he provides them with all the ammunition they need.
Surely if Sunak as expected gets to the final 2 vs. Mordaunt or Truss, he has very little chance of winning amongst the party members.
The Johnson supporters will surely mostly vote against him because of his ‘disloyalty’, while the members who hated Johnson / the Johnson administration will surely vote against him as he had the second most senior position in it / drove those tax roses that they hated. So he would surely fall victim to a pincer movement there.

I don't think Sunak can handle the political scrutiny and personal mudslinging which comes with the job. He couldn't handle his wife getting criticised about her tax status.
