What was the overall verdict on this and how she handled it?

Grabby Hancock on today. Hopefully gets an earful.
People were very impressed with her. She let people speak, didn't interrupt them, disagreed at times but parted on friendly terms and was genuinely warm and enthusiastic.

Hancock, on the other hand, is spouting tory propaganda nonstop and it's one long advert for Rishi Sunak, who he's voting for.

Is the whole program available to listen to anywhere?

She was great. Fronted up. Let criticism calls run at length and answered in full. Didn’t bully anyone into silence.

The difference in Tories and Labour MPs is staggering. Tories think they’re clever when they shut a question down and talk about what they have pre planned. It’s not clever. We don’t think it’s a game.

The current Labour benches are packed with people that respond to the content of the question most of the time.

Sadly, the media lets Tory evasion through, and harangues Labour MP’s when they let a little openness creep in. Maddening.

Royal Mail workers vote to strike over pay

A ballot of members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) showed huge support for industrial action in protest at a 2% pay offer.

A total of 97.6%, of those who voted, backed strikes, on a turnout of 77%. The union said it was an unprecedented result.

General secretary Dave Ward said there will now be a “small window” of opportunity for talks to avoid walkouts before strike dates are set.

He said postal workers received big support from the public for their efforts during the pandemic and would continue to receive backing for their pay campaign.

She wishes she had his brains. What's the deal with the thatcher like voice?

is that real? it pivots to a game-show format 11 seconds in. high-octane music and neon lighting to suggest which person is or isn't present or still in race. i've ignored the tory leadership contest because i know it will be one of three people, with two being more likely than anyone else, that being sunak and mordaunt, but also because i thought it would be marketed with the exact contempt for people's understanding as that clip suggests.

the aesthetic is the chase meets the apprentice. what's wrong with people.

Isn’t Rishi ahead though, I think he’s a tough man under the polished exterior.

He’s got where he is in politics because of his wife, lets see how he actually does as prime minister, first non white which is crazy if it happens.

I think he’s a slimy little grease pot that buckles under the slightest whiff of pressure. He will be torn to shreds in any face to face encounter with anyone possessing a room temperature IQ.

The second half is from 'Take me Out'
The first half is very real unfortunately.

I think you’ve just summed up a politician.

Sums up a Tory. Politicians are generally pretty Fcuking awesome people and we should celebrate them.

The darkest recesses of hell reserved for the bad ones of course. Choosing to walk a path of service and instead allowing yourself to abuse the trust of society = up there with sex offenders and people that call you without texting first.

Regardless of who becomes PM we are pretty much fecked for awhile. Interest rates will have to rise to curb inflation. Theres no sign of an end to the war in Ukraine, so food prices (which are due to go up this autumn), will continue to rise into middle of next year. Lets nit even get started on fuel prices.

So does it really matter who is in no10? As we will all be worse off next year as well.

Nah, he's a terrible human being, a war criminal who should be in jail.

I'm not sure interest rates will go much higher, at least not quickly. After all, this doesn't seem like spending driven inflation.

No it doesn't really matter which tory is in power. But there certainly are things that can be done by a competent PM who put people above profits.

It's worth noting that the treasury will get some bumper tax revenue next year, just in time for some pre election crumbs for the masses. How much help the most vulnerable get during this winter is a choice.

The Tories who kicked Johnson out 2 weeks ago for being untrustworthy and lowering standards to disgraceful lows, now give him a standing ovation as he leaves the House of Commons.

Sums them up
