Think he's always been Deputy PM - part of the reason why it was mental that both him and Boris were on holiday at exactly the same time. Also Justice Sec definitely a demotion from Foreign Sec.
Edit: I'm totally wrong, no idea where I got that idea from.
Raab and Patel have to be the worst, when you combine sheer incompetence, awful ideology and power. Hopefully Patel also gets the boot (unlikely).

Wouldn't surprise me.May 2023 election?
https://uk.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-ready-general-election-says-183937293.html
To be honest I woudn't be surprised by that as it would probably let them get to the next election with minimal tax rises and they are changing the fixed term parliament act to allow them to call early elections so seems pretty logical
Think the SNP were pushing for indy ref2 by the end of 2023 so would set up the narrative of a hung parliament will break up the UK nicely for their campaigning
Good to see that the government does indeed have money available for the important things.Gas price rise: Government considering loans for energy firms

It's a real mixture of reasons, a backlog of maintenance not done in covid, less windy weather(!) and no more coal power stations to help with surges, but mostly Russia exporting less with various claims being made as to why that is so.Why has there been a surge? I haven’t really been following the last few days….

I'm sure it'll be a "difficult decision" like all increases are.'We're raising your taxes, increasing your Council Tax, reducing your UC payments, but don't worry, we won't remove the price rise cap (yet) because we care about you!"
Fecking parasites!
It's strange times. A Prime Minister comes out and tells us not to worry about food shortages at Christmas or whether we'll be able to heat our homes. This along with gaps on the supermarket shelves and massive supply chain disruption. The majority of the British media doesn't question it or ask why it's happening on this government's watch. Blimey, imagine the uproar if it was Corbyn.
Did I just see Boris talk about Kermit and Miss Piggy at the UN?
You did indeed, whilst simultaneously telling world leaders that we need to grow up! ![]()
