Westminster Politics

Paddy power have 6/1 odds on the next general election being in 2022. Gotta be worth a punt.

Pmq... will be a massacre
Liaison committee ... will be a longer massacre
Then the 1922 elections where I expect enough people will be elected who will change the rules that allows a vonc next week which he will loose and a leadership contest over the summer

I don't know if it's specifically British, it's something I've always done (but then, I'm old).
I’m not that young, but I cannot remember the last time I wrote a non-business letter to a colleague I knew.

He really doesn't have a clue, he is fumbling around for answers, just saying the first thing that comes into his head.
Soooo Ill prepared.

The cnut still won't resign.
Can Liz not give him a bell at this stage and tell him the gig is up?

Is it too much to ask for this rotten fecking party to finally be consigned to history where they belong ?

It is unfortunately.
He will cling on to power, because that is what he is all about, for as long as possible.
And he is scared sh1tless that Labour will win a GE if he decides to call a snap election.

He will go down in history as the very worst PM of them all.

Enough Tories realise that he will never change and that the next controversy is just around the corner. It gives them an opportunity to say everything that is wrong is Johnson's fault as well.

He's toast this time.

How old are you? Didn't you learn this in school? I remember learning how to write a formal letter in primary school

I don’t really have any respect or sympathy for MPs who supported him in the confidence vote a month ago, but have only / finally turned against him since then.

At the time of that vote, there was of course more than enough evidence to show that Johnson and his administration was both grossly incompetent and lacking in any morals.

Nahh, Boris isn't going anywhere, he is King in his own mind, and Kings don't get to be questioned by minions, or have the minions dictate to him what he should or should not be doing.

Mid 40s.

I don’t recall ever being taught to hand write the salutation, especially not in a formal business letter, even to a colleague with whom a relationship exists. I’ve written & received hundreds of such & never seen anything hand written other than the signature.
