What Now For Moyes?

One job he should stay well away from is the Newcastle job. There is no scope for genuine progress whatsoever. Even if he does well, stabilises the side and make some clever signings, Ashley will sell his prize assets at the drop of a hat.
If this job comes up and he takes it then he could well be finished at the European level of management.
Disagree with this. Fergie would have taken them to the moon regardless of who the owners were.

Dithering dave dithers and thinks he's the best now that he's managed us. What a wonderful combo.
In all fairness he'll do a decent while making it difficult for the top clubs to beat them.

Under Mike Ashley, no he wouldn't. That's a random point to pick at my post anyway, not really relevant to the crux of what I was saying. And I think last season well established the fact that David Moyes is certainly no Ferguson.

Until Ashley leaves the club Newcastle is a lonely road to nowhere. The manager is just a puppet that takes the flak while Ashley does everything in his power to piss off the fan base.

Agreed about this but still disagree that under Ashley Newcastle United cannot succeed. The key might be attracting or developing a manager of genius, but nothing inheres in the characteristics of a man worth hundreds of millions of pounds to suggest that success as defined by the market in which he is operating is not what he desires.

i don't think Newcastle would be a good fir for Moyes, their fans have unrealistic expectations and their owner would sell his mother at the drop of a hat. Moyes is a negative manager with defensive long ball football, The fans over there will hate every second of it.

He's sort of become the forgotten manager to me. I'm wavering as whether or not he'll get a job when the sacking season starts one or two months.

Newcastle and QPR will both be needing new managers at some point. Plus there's always other departures that aren't expected. I can see him back in management before the seasons end.

I don't know who'd want either of those jobs. Hiding to nothing.
He's so much better off going abroad.

Moving abroad would be ideal for him, problem I see for him is clubs outside the UK probably remember his United disaster more so than his solid stint at Everton.

I'd be very surprised to see him at QPR, I don't think they'll sack Redknapp and even if they did it's probably a job no one would want, the squad is awful. Doubt Rio would be happy if he got it anyway!!

If I had to guess where he'd go I'd say Celtic probably, they're not doing great and it allows him to rebuild his reputation in a less competitive league.

He probably reckons Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are looking at him knowing him.
Can picture his press conference or post match interview for Madrid

"We did really well. Ronaldo and Bale hit the bye-line and crossed it (around 80 times). We were just unlucky. We'll keep on trying to improve though. That Barcelona side is the level we need to aspire to".

edit: shame. I actually supported/liked Moyes and wanted him to succeed. Hindsight though - what a disaster that entire appointment was.

Rosenborg is still looking for the next Nils Arne Eggen.

Send him to Brann. The perfect replacement for Norling once they get relegated.

Moyes will be named Real Sociedad manager tomorrow after their game at home to Atletí.

Good luck to him. I hope he is a great success out there.
I echo this.

Aye, hope he does great too. Will be interested to see how he gets them playing.

I hope too, he is a good coach.

Interesting. Hopefully he will like Alfreð. He might actually be a good fit for them. Blue and white colors, need to tighten up at the back. Just needs to pick a good translator.

I'll be looking out for Real Sociedad results then. Good luck to Moyesy.

This will be interesting to follow, good on him for taking this challenge on. Hopefully he'll do alright and also stop talking about us.

Moyes is the original hipster. Loves continental football, especially the Bundesliga, and is now going to manage in Spain.

Good luck to him.

Good luck to him, there won't be as much pressure as there was at United so I think he'll do fine.

Risky move. If he struggles to improve their results he could be the manager that gets them relegated. Fair play to him for not being afraid of the job
