What Now For Moyes?

Good luck dealing with the Gala fans, doubt they'll be as patient as we were if the results don't go their way.

I'm happy to say I don't care, when he was at United we had to worry about his problems but now we no longer need to worry about the problems facing the chosen one, instead we worry about the problems facing the competent one.

I think this might be a bad career move for David. Should've stayed in the Premier League or gone to Germany. The Galatasaray fans are legendary for their fickleness and emotions always run high. One significant loss to Fenerbahce at they'll be on his back. Moyes won't be able to salvage his reputation if he fails consecutively at two storied European clubs. That said it's kinda neat in one way. As someone else said before he could take his pal Fellaini off our hands given Galatasaray's relatively strong financial strength. :D

Well this is a bit bizarre.

On the plus side he can actually win a top division title and get some champions league experience, but again its Galatasaray. I fear for his life if he says something stupid like "Fenerbahce are favourites" during a home derby or "we'll try to get something" against Ankaraspor or something.

He won't make it till Christmas.

Mancini was sacked for not winning the league. Does Moyes really think that he can win any league with his brand of football?? It may be a two, perhaps three team league (if you include Besiktas) but still..........

Well if Roy Hodgson can get the england job after his LFC performances, Moyes is on the way of becoming the next Barca boss

Is this for real? I cant think of a worse club to go to (well, within reason).

I can only assume that he felt the need to prove he could make it at a club where winning was the only thing that mattered, rather than to go an Everton equivalent in Germany and be a good loser again.

This will be so weird if it comes true.

Gala will instantly go from saying 'welcome to hell' to 'welcome, we'll try and make it difficult for you'.

Well he likes to remind everyone how well he did in the Champions League, so clearly he's now a CL manager and needs CL club...

Based on this, he probably would have resigned with us at the end of this season anyway... we're currently not reachign his levels of ambition.

How weird would it be seeing Moyes pitting his wits in the Cl next season, whilst United are in Saudi Arabia playing some money spinning friendly.
:(

So basically all you need to do to get the Galatasaray job is balls up at one of the big Manchester clubs?

Also, amazing the parallel's between Moyes and Souness. After dragging down the Scousers didn't Souness end up in Istanbul? Makes you worry for what would've happened if we'd have given Moyes 'time'...

It wouldn't be for long......nothing we have to get used to.

Now's the perfect time for some reverse-reverse psychology.

Kind of worried that Moyes might take this opportunity to prove MUFC wrong about Fellaini. If he goes to Gala they'll walk their league.

 Yeah, hopefully Davey has learned a few things from his time here.

On the other side, if he doesn't manage to win a trophy there, then he is really pretty poor at his job.

Good luck to him. He wasn't the right man for us, but I bear him no ill will. Hopefully he's learned something from his time here and I hope he goes on to have a very successful career.

Well Gala are fairly minted I believe, so hopefully he can take Fellaini with him.

His last chance at a big club I feel. We'll see how much he's learnt from his united debacle.

People are constantly saying British managers and players need to broaden their horizons, and spend more time managing and playing overseas.

Whatever you think of Moyes - and his short time with us can't be spun as anything other than disastrous - at least he's giving it a go. And he clearly does take a major interest in footballing developments, styles and trends beyond old blighty.

Good luck to him.

Right, just had a peek at a Galatasaray forum...
I have no hope, but we must give full support
hopefully will succeed
This guy has gone rampant Everton!!
I also had my serious concerns because of Man Utd performance. But our fans when we react to a name so much is happening Although generally very successful with that name. This is a good sign for us.
mancini> Wise> street, the citizens of> moyes
not handsome.
would not want to

To be honest Fellaini would be a beast in the Turkish league.

Moyes should just convert him into a CF and be done with it.

Come on Moyesy, £15million will do it :)

Aye, you can't ask more than that from anybody, and by all accounts Moyes is a hard working person. In all honesty i was shocked that he didn't have much of a true understanding of the game. Like i said before, hopefully a lesson learned. :)

Although he had no choice but to accept the United job he must regret leaving Everton because he had it so cushy at us.

Apparently, Moyes used to just shout at and humiliate staff at the club....Just normal employees, not football staff, right out of the blue for no reason.

Let's see him do that at Galatasaray and see what happens
Serious? Find that hard to believe tbh.

Galatasary are losing Drogba so they'll need a new target man, Moyes come and collect your mop!

We can live in hope!

Moyes during his first interview after he gets the job (a-la Buttner): "Yeah, I left United to manage a club in the UCL"

Imagine the meltdown in here.
