What Now For Moyes?

Wonder who is this player who gave up in Feb? By the looks of that statement it seems to be a popular one with the fans.. So was it RVP or Hernandez or Welbeck?? Weren't there rumours that Welbeck wanted to leave us..

It was Giggs, hence the comment in regards to it "killing" Moyes. Ogden's 'Giggs the ghost of Old Trafford' article in February was simply Ogden throwing tidbits out there. We knew all of the rumours, Mitten confirmed the relationship was never all that sound, Red Issue were sticking their flag to the mast and Ogden wouldn't hold back from such a story if it wasn't from a source he didn't respect.

Honestly can't wait for Rio's autobiography. I reckon he's gonna bury Moyes.

Hope he recovers and goes on to be successful, probably won't be CL level successful but similar to his Everton success.

Just didn't work out for us, doesn't mean we all have to hate the guy and wish him bad luck.

I still think he should've been given more time. At least 2 more years.

I have never paid for football related litterature before, but if a book or autobiography came out spilling all the beans and gossip and truths about the entirety of last year including the transfer window debacle I would pay 10x retail price to read that.

I can write the book for you..... OT teamtalks entailed...'I demanded to the boys 'Just get it out to the wings and cross it into the toilet brush - That mop will bury it'...'I wasn't in the mood to take any shit or to take any advise from someone who had any creativity like Giggs. This was my show after all. The mid-table alter-boy show..I am what I am and I was in the mood to send the masses to surrender to Moyes-boys....to think that every one of those average numpties stabbed me in the back in the end'.

I think he's nailed on to be the next West Ham manager when Big Sam gets the sack.

I don't wish him bad luck, but I do hate him for leaving us in a ditch.

You would think that would be the most sensible call wouldn't you?!

But, Moyes Davidson has already stated that, he's proved he's a high class manager and that he has proved he should only manage teams in the CL. His words, not mine.

If he truly believes that, and the last 11 years show us that he believes his own bullshit, then he won't be getting a job anytime soon

I honestly think West Ham would be a very good.job for any manager who's looking to make a name.

London based club with good fan base, owners looking to spend and a brand new stadium in one or two years.

Celtic it is!

Oh I agree....But Moyes Davidson doesn't. The man is deluded.

Celtic it is!

Celtic are not in the CL  They were knocked out today. 6-1 on agg.

Aberdeen will win the Scottish league this year to.

EDIT: Knocked out yesterday. I just realised it's 6:07am and the following day

I'll put my money on press excerpts translated over from Vidic's autobiography being harshest. Giggs a possibility as well.

Moyes appeared on MOTD2 several times in his Everton days. Is there a potential Rio/Davey match-up?

Ahh... my bad...

Maybe he'd get a job at Copenhagen or Malmo?

West Ham? Don't they want to play good football?

Makes no sense sacking Allardyce and hiring Moyes.

We would have no players left and a team full of Everton players because no body wants to play for him.
I don't even know whether we would have had any of the Everton players here (other than Fellaini) as I think they preferred to play under Martinez. He did a sterling job with them last year!

It makes no sense I agree, it's just sacking one prehistoric chump and replacing him with another.

Not sure why you are having a go at me....

If you feel so strongly, red issue are on Twitter, post your thoughts to them. Or the many other writers, contributors and editors of various United fanzines. You know what to do ;)

Haha i think you misread my post mate, i wasn't having a go at you at all.

You said Giggs started losing faith in Moyes after the City game, someone asked you 'how so?' you said you weren't sure, i remembered reading that story recently (i think on Andy Mitten's Playup page) so i thought i would share it.

That Celtic job could be available soon if they play badly in the Europa league. What would being successful at Celtic prove though? Villa, Newcastle and I doubt west ham will be interested if they want to stick with their so called attractive football traditions. For me, clearly Ogden was referring to Giggs aptitude regards to the "it would have killed him" (Moyes). As another poster has stated, Giggs is United's darling, and the man they in an ideal world would like to be the manager.

Sorry :)

People keep mentioning the Celtic job but Moyes was on a serious wedge at Everton & United, he seems the type whos motivated by money so i would imagine he would be expecting a similar wage in his next job considering he thinks so highly of himself.

Celtic probably couldn't pay him a 1/4 of what he was on at United, i don't even think they pay as much as most mid-table Premier League teams which is where i expect him to pop up next.

Iceland or Norway suits his brand of football. Otherwise he can write a book. Title? Clueless.

He's so smug, just seen the interview. He genuinely believes he's a top class manager.

Moyes' ego would go over the roof if he actually won the league with them. He'd be running around telling everyone he's the best manager in the world.

I've never thought of him as being arrogant, what have I missed here?

He's going to struggle getting another job.

No one else wanted him when he was at Everton, and that was the time to step up to a bigger club as a stepping stone. He has/had no ambition and anyway, no one else wanted him.

He wants a cosy little job where there is no pressure and he can improve a club & then stagnate for the rest of his career.

I can see him in the Championship, maybe Holland/Belgium leagues and disappearing into obscurity.

Good grief, the damage he did to our club in the space of 10 months, I'll never forget, good riddance.

He's come across very arrogant at United IMO.

On knocking out Olympiakos: "I've got us to the quarter-final and now the aim is to get to the semi-final."

On his next job:"I got my first real taste of Champions League this year and I thought I showed I can manage at that level. I would like to think I proved myself over the 11-year period at Everton and what I am capable of, and the level at which I want to manage."

On Martinez success at Everton: "I always told them they could play without a manager because they are very well organised."

On being fecking shit the whole season at United: "I actually think if Sir Alex was here this year it would be difficult for Sir Alex as well, and I'm sure he'd be aware of it. I think people are aware there's a squad that is a bit more aging, so I think it would have been a tough season for probably whoever was in charge of Manchester United this year."

He's come across very arrogant to me last season. As I've said, he pretty much blamed everything on players and genuinely considered himself a success. That was my main gripe with him and why I couldn't get myself to support him.

Don't forget the "Only people who understand football could see what we were doing today" quote after the shambolic Fulham performance.
