fergie weve got money but im not spending any

Who do people want United to sign?

I personally am with Fergie in that there are very few players out there that do 'represent value for money' and very few that have no question marks over them yet people are still saying we need this and that so who should we be signing?

I personally can only think of one player at this moment in time that I would like us to sign but it certainly wont happen this transfer window if at all

Lloris.

I think a keeper takes priority over anything else with the way we are.

Lots of people I have never seen but seasoned RedCafe posters assure me would improve the team.

i.e. Hamsik, Ozil, etc.

Luka Modric.

Seriously. Modric is what we need. Luka and Evra on the left.

Surprised by this. I think a keeper is not a huge priority.

I think we need a couple of midfielders or a striker ahead of that.

Good shout, best one so far IMO

I can see Fergie being in for him in the Summer if last summers rumours are to be believed. Would be a good option for the left as well.

Ronaldo

on a serious note, a left winger would be useful. Silva could play that role but he is injured.

A CAM would be nice too. Gourcuff, Hamsik, or any other player that can inject a bit of creativity or spark into our team is needed.

Silva can play both these roles but he's injured. Unless we want SAF to pull a Rafa and sign an injured player.

Surprising, presumably you dont think Foster is good enough then? If so should we be looking to shipping him out?

Hes exactly the type of player we need in the final third....and hes better than Valencia not that its an either or scenario anyway....

Those who have presumably seen more of him than me say he's entirely right footed like Valencia, how would you play them both in the same team?

Does Krasic play on the left?

How the feck do we know. I'd never heard of vidic or really knew about evra before we signed them. People get paid for this shit. Pay for it Malcolm.

Id play one on the left and the other on the right....with them interchanging during the match like we used to do with Ronaldo and Giggs, plenty of right footed players play left wing and vise versa....Modric is right footed and plays left for spurs.

I dont think spending 30m+ on him would be good business tbh, I think he'd be a sure fire flop in the Premiership

Just my opinion

Someone who can cross the ball.

I don't think we would pay £30+ million for him, perhaps in the region of £20 - 25 million. Valencia need money at the moment so I think they will offload both Silva and Villa this summer.

Modric would be another option as many people have mentioned. He can play left or CAM but are Spurs willing to sell, even though they are our feeder club?

A reliable goalscorer, eg. Villa for a start so our central midfielders don't have to attack so much leaving our defence more exposed. I'm not convinced there's a great need for a left winger, especially given that Rooney can play there, but we certainly need a goalscorer. Today's game was the 8th this season in which none of our players have scored. Buying a CAM realistically require we drop one of our strikers, leaving us with a 4-3-3/4-5-1, which none of our strikers are effective in.

The only reason I say that is because I'll always be confident in who Sir Alex buys who isn't a keeper.

If he gets that one sorted I think we'll be set for a long while, I'd leave the rest of it up to him. I've no idea who we're looking at and chances are if I named one defender he'll not buy him, likewise with every other position.

Seems we're linked a lot with Dzeko and Kjaer, I wouldn't say no to them, and I do think within the next couple of years we'll need two players like them. No idea about a left winger but I'm keeping faith with Obertan.

I think our midfield will be fine long-term to be honest, it's just how long we'll have to wait for Anderson to develop being the only real problem I see. Once we have him playing well consistently I don't think we'll struggle creatively from midfield.

And nope I'm not confident about Foster.

15mp and Berba for pato ? not that its realistic..

Modric, lets hope Tottenham wont end in 4th, than Modric could be realistic !

It would take more than what most around here would want to spend but I think an offer of between 20-25m would see them sell him given they have a replacement in Kranjcar already

Would Villa at 28/29 be a reliable goalscorer? I think there's a massive chance he'd struggle to settle in the Premier League

Good point but knowing Spurs they will probably hold out for a higher offer.

Why do you think Silva will be a flop in the PL?

Why do you think Silva will be a flop in the PL?

Just think it would be a Veron like situation where maybe his better performances would be in Europe where he's given more time on the ball

Having played in Spain for so long now I think he'd struggle to adapt

Scholesy deserves an apology for all the shit he had to take from people about Modric.

He called him Scholes' successor.

He plays on the wing, even with Huddlestone being rubbish and Krancjar being in such good form.

He got loads of deserved shit.

The Legend himself, Spurs be very very afraid, we are hungry again!
