Fair play to you mate. This is not an attempt from me to act like a better fan, just an honest feeling I have. I'd like to think I will not feel like that even in the extreme example you used.

I agree. And so do 99.9% of people on this forum, I'll bet. No United supporter wants Moyes to do badly - why would they? But he has to prove he can do more.Well, it's probably both. If anyone is actually genuinely wanting United to lose tomorrow night, I really think they are utterly pathetic.
Fair play to you mate.
So if we win the next 10 games, Moyes should still go? Don't be daft. Not me never want us to loose... But Moyes needs to go no matter the results..
Really? Not even in a situation like, dead rubber for us, we lose and Liverpool go down? Or dead rubber for us, we lose to stop City winning the league? Something like that? I'm sure I could.
Of course not, Pogue. Is anyone willing to admit they're hoping for a heavy defeat tomorrow night?
We all remember Liverpool beating Blackburn and we needing a goal with 15 mins still to play to win the league. I always remember thinking..fair play to the pool...they were professional that day...!!
Yeah. I always felt Gerrard's back pass to Drogba in 2009/10 besmirched Liverpool's traditions a bit. As much as we may have no time for LFC I think most United fans would admit they are a proper club. That back pass from Gerrard was very small time. I would expect it from plastics or a little club trying to be a nuisance like when West Ham and Sunderland rejoiced at us not winning the title in 1995 and 2012 but you look at Liverpool and, begrudingly, you expect more.
Liverpool are six off the top, they could win the league (a thought that actually makes me shiver), but I wouldn't want us to deliberately lose to anyone just to stop them becoming champions. Our season should not be built on trying to upset other clubs but winning stuff for ourselves. This is gonna sound amazingly arrogant (especially given where we are in the league) but United are bigger than that.

Well don't say ridiculous things like "Moyes should go no matter the results."?? We are not going to win the next 10 games so no need to go there..
I don't know what's more desperate, this thread, or the general situation at the club. I would never actually want us to lose, even not in the Pool scenario above.
Yeah, sorry, it is indeed pretty awesome to lurk around here these days.oh come on..go with the flow...the Caf has never been better than this season..there are some hilarious things on here..very very entertaining. The humour has increased tenfold...

We still have a chance of getting that 4th place. I know Liverpool fans are still nervous of United. Is anyone willing to admit they're hoping for a heavy defeat tomorrow night?
As we saw at Spurs, humiliating defeats against long term rivals can be the straw that breaks the camel's back for owners that have doubts about their manager. If we're 100% certain that Moyes won't succeed then it's all about the end game. Getting rid as soon as possible. A heavy defeat against Arsenal will help this process along. Especially in the context of recent humiliations. Short term pain, long term gain.
Conversely, beating a top three team away from home will definitely buy him a stay of execution. Possibly for quite some time. If the club is looking for signs of long-term improvement a result like that would carry a lot of weight.
So... Cards on the table. Who's rooting for the gooners?

Why do we have to be so quick to give up?
Professional game is played a lot in the mind. A few good results could easily bring the old swagger and results back.Because this team has nothing on the Utd we all knew and that opponents feared.
The humour has increased tenfold...
They're no different to the scousers hoping they'd lose under Woy so he'd get the boot! There's more than that. After about a month or two of the season I got the feeling that many would rather we lost just to see him sacked. I got called crazy when I suggested it so I put the question out there. Quite a few said they would rather see us lose to get him sacked.
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. I'm open the possibility Moyes can turn things round.
Didn't realise so many other people felt the same way. Not the impression I got from reading the assorted "Moyes out" threads these last few days.
Nobody would admit it though.

You're an imbecile if you hope we get spanked tomorrow for the possibility that Moyes will get sakced. An utter imbecile.
