VDS
Neville - Rio - Vidic - Evra
Fletcher - Carrick - Scholes - Ronaldo
Ole - Rooney

3-0 Ole, Rooney, Ronaldo

Our defense is solid, and Ronaldo is still looking dangerous. With Ole getting a full 90 min. under his belt, I expect him to play and score again. Rooney to score as well.

P.S: I know it's early, but I hate international breaks.

I hope Heinze is back soon. Although, if Evra stays healthy, I don't think we need him until 26 November vs. Chelsea. That is if Rio can shadow Crouch successfuly and leave Evra nowhere near that giant.

Also, Saha should get 20 min at least to stay sharp

Thats what fecked us up last time - we were flying before that

How do you reckon? We beat the Spurs and Celtic after the break. Then we played too cautiously at home against a struggling Arsenal side desperate for a win. And then it was a hand ball against Reading. I doubt an early thread gifted Adebayor a goal and made Neville handle the ball.

I hate that break!

If everyone returns without injures, I'd play the following team:

------VDS--------
Gary-Rio-Vida-Heinze/Evra
Ron-Carrick-Scholes-Giggs
----Saha---Rooney

Giggs to play in the middle but should help out in the middle if he's needed. I'd play Evra if Heinze's not fully fit. Looks like the strongest team we can field

Thought about Giggs, but I'm not sure he'll get the start. It's an average match, so I think Fletcher will start again. Giggs will get about 30 minutes at the end though. If he pulls through unhindered, he'll start against Copenhagen.

Nice, the break is on my woriking weekend, not like the previous break that landed on my weekend off.

I will accept nothing but victoy, we have to stay at the no. 1 spot!

Hopefully its...

Yup. That's our strongest side (on paper).

I agree with this for the most part. The only thing I would change is, Saha for Ole.

If Saha is 100% by then, i am sure he will start and if we are doing well, Giggs and Ole will come on in the 65-70 min.

Ronaldo---Carrick---Scholes--Giggs

-------Ole-------Rooney--------

We must win 4-0 here.

A bit early??????????

Some people will do anything to post

We are not going to paste them like every one is predicting. Wigan have a good manager, and most of the team that did so well last year. Also we are not on top of our game by any means. If everyone in the team realises this and SAF doesn't mess up our tactics then we will win.

Agreed the strongest team until Heinze is fully fit, but I reckon he may play Fletch in place of Carrick to tighten up the midfield tackling as Wigan will up for a tough game and the tackling of Fletch may come in handy.

I've been watching Lee Martin on TV here playing for the Huns (Rangers), he's been pretty impressive (not too difficult in SPL) thus far, hope we don't come to rue putting him out on loan should Giggs and Ron get crocked..!

i'm really worried about wigan. last season at the JJB they nearly did us and we were lucky to get away with three points.
ive seen em a bit this season and they seemed to have played just as well as last (but not getting the points that they deserve). its only a matter of time before they get the win. we'll have to be on top form here, what with this being a proper derby to them and their fans.

i still fancy a 2-0, but it'l be a battle.

**If everyone comes home to Manchester fine, then this is how I will line us up.

-------------------------Van Der Sar------------------------

--Neville----------Rio---------------Vidic----------Evra----

---------------Fletcher--Scholes---Carrick------------------

-----Solsjkaer-----------Saha----------------------Ronaldo--

Subs: Kuzsczak (sp?), O Shea, Smiff, Rooney, Richardson
Should be a tough match.a grinding 2-1 win for us with goals from Saha & a Vidic header from a setpiece

don't want to be too pessimistic but there was more wrong than caution against the arse

Well I'd say you looked good in the face of shit performances from Fulham/Charlton/Newcastle, mediocre against average performances from Spurs/Watford/Reading and piss-poor against the only good team you've played so far.

this is basically what I would play. Xcept I would switch Rooney for Saha and rest Saha for CL

-------------VDS--------------

Gnev-----Rio-----Vidic-----Evra

-------Carrick-----Scholes-----

Fletch-------Rooney-----Ronnie

------------Ole----------------

Same team/formation as barcodes basically.

This has the potential to be our 2nd loss this season, hopefully the lads prove me wrong though.

I hope we start with:

-------------- VDS --------------
--Gary-----Rio------Vida------Heinze*
--Ron-----Carrick--Scholes---Giggs
-----------Saha-----Rooney------

*Paddy in for Gab if he doesn't make it.

Are you sick! We shitted over Wigan twice last season. Took a stroke of genius from Chimbonda to win the other game though.
