World Cup Qualifiers + Friendlies | November 2017

You're italian but you don't think football like an italian. Away at Sweden and a score draw is a decent enough result, pretty normal to choose the more conservative option, there are always substitutions to be made if you need a goal.
It's Sweden. He's dropping our best player in a WC playoff in Sweden...Sweden! FFS
Old dogs going for their last Italian job, if it goes well then see you in June next year, otherwise ground zero and Mancini or Ancelotti in charge asap.
Anyone but Mancini. Ancelotti sure, he'd be a good fit. Best option by far atm

Premier Sports advertising both legs of the NZ-Peru tie to be shown live in the early hours of tomorrow (Saturday) and the return game early hours of next Thursday, not showing up in the Sky programme guide so far though.

Son Heungmin has just scored his 2nd against Colombia. Good. One Colombian just launched a viscious foot over the ball ankle breaker that only got a yellow. Now they are rolling around simulating and I've just seen one make the slant eyes gesture to Ki Sungyon. Disgraceful fecking peasants.

First half Brazil 3 - 0 Japan so far.
Neymar(pk) - 10
Marcelo - 17
Gabriel Jesus - 36
Also that Colombian line up is not their best start XI, not even close.

I wouldn’t underestimate Sweden. They are pretty good and much improved from the Euros as far as I know. At least offensively, they still seem to have problems defensively.

They came to Portugal to beat us 3-2 (in a friendly but still) and they beat France at home too during qualifying.

Both teams played with the second lines, we had fecking Marafona as keeper, don't take Portugal friendlys seriously. True they did beat France, but also didn't beat Netherlands in 2 matches. They are better than in the Euros, but if Italy doesn't make stupid mistakes or see red cards in 180 minutes they have more individual quality than Sweden.

Just seen that too, what the feck.

James is a pathetic piece of shit too. Looks like I've got a new NT to hate, niiiiice.

Surely N.Ireland was stitched up by the referee.

I'm sure everyone knows what you mean but he blows TOO quick, even for that, if anything.

Arm leads, ball hits arm, blows whistle - with no thinking at all, seems likely to me.

Technically - if you've never played or refereed a game before, & don't understand the game or the rules, it is quite a good fit for a penalty - if you've just read what the rules are that morning, for example, (possibly).

Maybe he just misjudges the distance...

Last time Italy won in Sweden was 1912 according to Tancredi Palmieri! I choose to believe the stats (this time!)

Knowing our players, your tag is probably the biggest worry :D

I just saw that.

It's clear he has a bond with the club. Every fecking tax payer in Spain has a bond with them. Or a gilt. Or something. :D
Know that's good banter

Keep in mind i was 7-8. By ethos i meant "win and look good doing it"

In hindsight, my gramps conflicted feelings about Bernabeu became much more understandable(my gramps always spike of di stefano, puskas, gento, etc, but never about bernabeu...)

I'll be at Wembley today for the England Germany game, mate had a spare ticket so decided to go.

Poor England squad, not really excited to see anyone. Will be good to see Sane and Kroos from Germany

I know England are pretty crap but I’m sure Germany will have more than 2 out. Five should be enough to beat England

Hope you sit opposite the German bench or you might not see much of them. :D

I'm really looking forward to tonight's game, hope for many goals and fast and attractive attacking football.

Looking at our (supposed?) lineup and bench over at kicker.de, I guess Löw will swap nearly the entire team at HT.

Best England starting XI ever?

Seriously, though, cool to see Tammy and Cheeks in the starting XI, feels like I've been following their careers since they were about 10.

Poland XI vs Urgay

Artur Boruc - Thiago Cionek, Kamil Glik, Jarosław Jach - Bartosz Bereszyński, Jacek Góralski, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Maciej Rybus - Jakub Błaszczykowski, Kamil Wilczek, Kamil Grosicki

Boruc's last match for Polish NT, Poland going 352 for the first time, Lewandowski rested.

Too much to hope for Martial to start for France, probably?

Lindelöf starting obviously.. Full day of sport in Stockholm with Colorado and Ottawa playing first of their two NHL games also tonight..

How do we not have better on stand-by than Jake Livermore? We're a football-obsessed country. A few injuries and we're reliant on workhorse midfielder's with poor technical ability.

Senegal have qualified for world cup after beating South Africa 2-0.

They have a very good team too, good defense and a lot of fast players on the counter. Congrats to them, hopefully they can surprise one of the big boys at the WC once again.

So you just hit under the belt? Shame on you.
