WWC19 | Final: USA v Netherlands

The stick Phil Neville used to get when he was a coach at United.

I think a few posters owe him an apology.
To be honest, he got stick his whole career; not just from the 13/14 season.

I love that he's doing well. It's great to see.

I've always liked Phil Neville. Comes across as an honest, decent bloke, so I'm glad to see him doing really well.

Just very proud of the team all round, they were brilliant tonight. All heroines regardless of what happens in the semi as both France & the USA are great teams.

I think England are favourites for the whole thing now.

France will choke in the semi's and the USA look a spent force.

Its interesting the god like praise Phil Neville is getting here.

I guess he'll follow Southgate and get chewed up and spat out in a couple of years like the way Gareths starting to get now if he fails to win this whole thing.

England will probably still win the Cricket WC as well (if they manage to get to the semi's)

So that's 2 tournaments England will likely win this summer (as is looking likely)

Not bad.

Well done sweeping the arrogant noggies aside.

Lucy Bronze looks like a midfielder at times.

Thought England were going out of the CWC probably?

They might, but if they get to the semi's, they're big favourites. Two games to go whilst being the home side? I think so.

France will bottle the semi's just like they did at the 2007 RWC against an underdog England.

Jason Roy will be back for India so England are at full strength once again. The same side that's annihilated everything in front of of them in the past 2 years.

England somehow get to the semi's in the CWC and its theirs to lose.

Your logic seems fuzzy at best, crazy at worst. What on earth does the 2007 RWC have to do with any of this?

Couldn't be happier for Phil Neville and the England women's team.

Lucy Bronze, what a player she is. I run out of superlatives to describe her. She's like a Trojan the way she dominates the right side.

I haven't watched much of women's football (that is likely to change) but this tournament has been a joy to watch. It's been refreshing to watch football played fairly without the theatrics and cheating prevalent regrettably in the men's game.

Good night in a really neat stadium - the sort United will one day need to build for the women's team.

It was funny being surrounded mostly by neutrals - mostly French, some American and just the occasional Brit. A surprising number were supporting England - the rest were kind of supporting whoever was in possession, and whatever chant, song, band tune you could stamp your feet or clap to.

Wonderfully, they booed the ref when she went to the keeper at the penalty to do the "keep your feet on the line" reminder - I don't think they like that rule.

Come on you Lyonesses :smirk:

Great stuff! You have a ticket to our semi final too don't you?
