Zinedine Zidane | Resigns

Definitely. It is easy to imagine this ending in "failure" (what Madrid consider to be failure) due to him not having enough experience and just being thrown in during the middle of the season without having had a pre-season with the team (although perhaps the press and fans will go easy on him because of that). That said, if it does not work out, I am sure the club will remove him and not allow him to cause lasting damage like Moyes did (ie causing enough damage which would set the club back and prevent it from competing at the highest level for a few seasons).

I have wondered about this with Giggs getting the United job, I wonder what the fan reaction would be if it doesn't go well. For how long will they show them extra respect and would the club hesitate in sacking him.

From what I heard Zidane isn't a puppet at all, he will be successful and powerful or fired.

Well Real have had a lot of strong minded managers who have been forced to adapt to the club's style of working so I wonder how this will work.

I am happy with the appointment, I admire Zidane too much to think otherwise.
Being positive I imagine Zidane coming to the dressing room and saying "Come out to the field, do combinative, precious and imaginative play, reinvent offensive football and crush Barça", all in a festive atmosphere, without defensive midfielders and where Kroos,James,Isco,Modric are happy
There will be time for negative thinking, lack of experience and tactical knowledge, too much pressure and expectations..

I doubt that, he was the most one of the most vocal players against Makelele being sold, which is interesting consdiering Perez thoughts on him

He is sneaky, he will find a way to get rid of Perez.

Then I guess that Pogba is a serious option this summer, as Hazard

Yep, I'm pretty sure Hazard will be our main target this summer. The kid can still play football, just needs a change of scenery.

Pogba is not comparable defensively to Makelele, but i think they will be in for him.
Theres no doubt Madrid are going to back him massively, i can see another record going. Probably Pogba, i hope not Muller..

Pogba can't defend, I exaggerate but he isn't better than any of your players. And he loves Makelele, so he might look at someone like that.

Edit: Lassana Diarra wouldn't be a bad idea for you.

That's a Real Madrid way appointment.

Will be interesting to see how Zidane does.

Next Clasico will be very interesting.

You mean Diarra , the former Madrid player , who is now in Olympique?( I ask because there are many Diarras and maybe I forget about someone). Good player but a bit weird/problematic. I´d like to try something else. I would like to try Krychowiak or some similar player instead paying a stupid amount for Pogba.

It's been brilliant for about 10 years now and they've got very little (relatively) to show for it. Can't see how how would that change with Zidane.
It may not. My point is that how much did you guys really expect from them under Rafa? And when you consider that the worst they're going to do is 3rd, it shows you why Madrid can do this, and United can't/shouldn't.

"Ever since I arrived as a player I knew how great this club was. We have the best fans in the world and the best club in the world and I'll do everything to win." - Zidane

 nice one, mate.

Oh yeah, you are right I forgot Krychowiak he is the perfect fit for your team, not for Perez though.

Now he might surprise as all, but the Real Madrid job might be the toughest in the world and he has NO experience as a top flight manager. Him being a club legend won't matter much, RM fans are savage and will show him no mercy if he fails to deliver up to their standards...which are impossible

Some bloke on Sky Sports said Zidane was not much of a coach and would not get too involved in training/tactics. Any way this can be true?

I couldn´t imagine that, however it seems that L´Equipe is loving it

 I just took a look, it's borderline embarrassing, they are comparing him to true legends.
