Should've let Elvis start the thread after last time.

Liverpool scored 2 against Arse. We scored 8.
Liverpool scored 3 against Bolton. We should be able to score atleast 12.

Liverpool had Bolton at home and we have them away. Its always a tough place to go to.

Not if City's performance was anything to go by, the scoreline that day severely flattered Bolton

The breaks always seem to come right after we're at the top of our game don't they?

Big decision to make on this one.

keep the shape of the team as it is and make no changes other than Hernandez or try to go with an extra CM and stick carrick in there at Javier's expense.

Bolton are a physical bunch.

Maybe we'll go with an extra body in the middle with Rooney playing the lone striker role.

Kevin Davies will give DDG a tough game. Any chance Vidic coluld make it back in time?

Will be happy with any win, and a draw wouldn't be a terrible result either.

Nothing more dangerous than going to a place like Bolton/Stoke or such like of the back of a win like yesterday's.They'll be fired up,physical, cynical and play like it was a cup final.

Keeping the level of performance is the key for me,the result will come if we are playing at that high tempo. But I do concur that experience will be needed.I expect to see Hernandez start instead of Berbatov but much will depend on how they are after the internationals

It will be a physical game no doubt.

If we get a bellend like Webb, they will get away with murder.

Probably expect Rooney to drop down more to help Anderson and Cleverley.

Whats wrong with Webb? Last season everyone here was happy he was referring United games. So if he gives decisions our way he is a good ref and if he gives decisions against us, then he is not a good ref?

A holding midfielder against Bolton? Really??

We are playing away from home against a side that will try and bully Anderson/Cleverly.

--------------De Gea--------------
-----Smalling--Rio--Evans--Evra-----
---------------Jones---------------
--Nani--Cleverly--Anderson--Young--
--------------Rooney--------------

That would be my team if I was the boss. We'd dominate possession and keep the attacking threat with the front 5. Jones would act as a nice shield and allow Smalling/Evra to attack. We'd still have our high energy game, trick is to keep the attacking momentum going in the team but still have a good solid defense.

Three in midfield is somewhat likely, but I think it'd be Carrick in there, not Jones. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see the squad utilised even this early. Park, Giggs, and Berbatov all avoid international duty due to retirement, so all three have the chance of coming in, most likely in favour of Cleverley. Hernandez will also be fighting to start again, after a somewhat average comeback against Arsenal.

de Gea, Smalling, Ferdinand, Jones/Evans, Evra, Anderson, and Rooney are the sure starters for me. The rest of the starting 11 could be made up from four of Carrick, Cleverley, Giggs, Park, Young, Nani, Berbatov, and Hernandez. At the moment I think the form of most of the players who have been starting is too good that they won't be dropped, despite the internationals. Regardless, I think every player I've mentioned, plus Fletcher and Lindegaard will make the match-day squad.

Provided everyone comes back fit, of course.

de Gea
Smalling Ferdinand Evans Evra
Carrick Anderson
Giggs
Nani Rooney Young
--
Lindegaard; Jones; Fletcher, Cleverley, Park; Berbatov, Hernandez

He has had two poor matches for us so far. The Chelsea one and this Arsenal one.

He missed so much.

Just call it correctly no matter what themedia says.

I think it will be an easy game for us, if we manage them to keep them quite in the air. DDG must work hard before going into this game because it's going to be tough for him. Davies is a cnut most of the times, and with his experience he will take advantage of De Gea's flaws. I hope all of our players come back unscathed.

0-4 United : Chicharito x 2, Rooney, Nani.

De Gea

Smalling
Jones
Ferdinand
Fabio / Evra

Young
Cleverly
Anderson
Nani

Rooney
Hernandez

I hate these freaking international breaks.

fecking internationals.

agreed, international football is a fecking waste of time, money, energy, TV time, everything. what's the fecking point of watching dull games which tactic-wise are on much lower level than club football. we should get rid of these international games and if FIFA or UEFA insists they should create national clubs, pay wages of players and create a league or something. then i might a watch their game. fecking feckwits and their international football

Team should be...

GK: De Gea

RB: Smalling
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Jones
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Cleverley
CM: Anderson
LM: Young

CF: Rooney
CF: Hernandez

Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Fabio Carrick, Giggs, Park, Berbatov

I suspect Evans would get the nod over Jones but personally I think the latter would handle Bolton/Davis better than Evans would

I'll go for a 1-2 United win. Young and Rooney with the goals

I agree on the lineup.

fecking sick of internationals, the seasons only started.

Are Bolton really that physical anymore under Coyle? He seems to get them to play it a lot more along the deck. They still have that hallion Davies but i dont think they're as tough a side as they used to be. They've just got Kakuta and Ngog in on loan who would never have been signed under the previous regimes.
