Sorry, back to where you were, praising Evra. Sorry to piss on your chips with an opinion. You'd make a good scouser.
...except your opinion is predicatably right wing

They weren't out of the competition. There was still every chance they could go through. South Africa, who were in virtually exactly the same position, came within a goal of going through.
I'm not saying they didn't have legitimate grievances. But they didn't have a reason to strike in the middle of a World Cup. It was petulant. They should've waited.

You've argued with a satire....
Not sure if Evra should be singled out for the French WC debacle, from what I've read he was nowhere near the figurehead and merely served as the spokesperson for the squad in his role as captain.
Here's my analogy.
I'm Canadian, and in Canada making right-hand turns on red lights is legal. It's not, however, legal in most U.S. states. So let's say I'm driving somewhere in the U.S. where right turns on reds are illegal; I stop at a red light, make a right-hand turn, and run over a pedestrian. When the police arrive I tell them: "It's okay! I'm Canadian, and in Canada turning right on a red light's totally normal! That pedestrian just didn't understand that I'm Canadian and that what I did's normal where I come from, so I can't suffer any consequences as a result of doing it!"
That's basically what Suarez and LFC are arguing, right?
Nana: Yes, you wait until the World Cup is over, then you complain that the manager wasn't up to the task etc. What were they hoping to accomplish by striking? Getting the manager sacked in the middle of the World Cup? All they did was make themselves look stupid, let down the fans and give people ammunition to fire at them rather than him when they went out.
Curious how in the middle of a cup competition means anything different than say players wanting a coach out during the middle of a league season. Does it really matter when players strike against a manager?
Because the two aren't comparable. It's a max 7 game Cup competition in which they were one game away from elimination..Very few people sack their manager on the last day when they're still playing for survival do they?
IMO a club situation is slightly different as it's almost a constant cycle, a World Cup is for a few weeks every four years.

True, I am simply asking if has happened in other situations, and if it really matters when a lame-duck manager will get fired. Domenech should have been sacked weeks, even months prior to the World Cup.
i pander to you
You should never do that.
The response of the 'nation’s greatest football club' to the news their star player had been found guilty of using a racial epithet to taunt an opponent. Humility? Dignity? No. Instead a cascade of self-righteousness and self-indulgence. “Luis Suarez needs our full support. Let's not let him walk alone,” was Kenny Dalglish’s trite response. The club itself chose to attack, yes attack, Evra, stating “that the accusation by this particular player was not credible”. This despite the fact an independent panel had just ruled the claim he was abused by Suarez was entirely credible...
I still think they have something up their sleeves.

'Liverpool is backing Suarez to the hilt. Why?'
We either adopt zero tolerance towards racism in football or we don't. It's as simple as that – Telegraph
Every online poll so far carried out is showing overwhelming support in favour of Suarez. So either the public generally are behind him and the media pundits at the BBC and elsewhere have got this wrong or we are all racists. Then what do the Poles know about anything ?![]()
Anyone see this?
Football Scumbags
Collection of the horrible tweets aimed at Evra, trying to expose those behind them.
One of them had the details e-mailed to the dean at his college. Too fúcking right.
