Agreed, miss aside, it's great to see him being brought in and performing at an excellent level virtually every time he's called upon now. I love to see him do well.

Possibly, but if he can perform like that against Chelsea, there is little doubt he will be an asset, rather than a liability. He may not start if Rooney's fit, but if he's not, i think he gave Fergie something to think about with his all round game tonight.

thought on the whole he was good, some things he could have done better I attribute to form and was actually gutted that he missed that cut back from Valencia because it would have given him a world of confidence.

He's not playing much, so it was bound to happen sooner or later. He'll probably get his wish soon in a way as I bet he'll feature against Ajax. However, and though times can change, I don't know how big a role he'll have in the run in.
A player of his quality probably doesn't like being 4th choice striker, even at a club like Man Utd.

You serious? He said nothing wrong. You expect every player do want to play all the time. If not, then you have a problem. He couldn't have given a better answer really.
He's kept it in the club and even in the interview he's saying he can't say anything in the media. So what's your complaint?
There's another Berba detractor who has repeatedly said that Berba shouldn't be happy to be sat on the bench - well there you have it, he's not happy to be on the bench. He doesn't say it anyone's fault but, he's not happy. He's not thrown out his toys, he talks to the person he should talk about it to and accepts what that person says go.

People crack the shits when player agents go to the press and state they don't feel that their player is getting what they are owed, how is this any different?
Quite frankly he should have got the message in the CL final, and after the Newcastle game. It's not that he's not wanted, it's that there is 3 strikers that perform for United far better than Berbatov.

And what message are you talking about that he isn't wanted? The one where Fergie keeps saying we want to keep him and the fact that the club is choosing to extend his contract - that says he isn't wanted. I must have woken up in opposites world.
I'm not happy any time a player goes to the press about their issues.
Oh and it's the one where he's not playing in 8 out of 10 games. If he was training hard, I'd dare say Fergie would be giving him more game time to keep himself sharp. He's played 95 minutes since the end of December.

You are being very harsh. He is a top player, with a big reputation and could easily start for most clubs. Yet given his lack of playing opportunities, he's always behaved impeccably. It's just unfortunate that he doesn't fit into our style of football but nobody should ever question his attitude and respect he has for the club and manager throughout his tenure. Top attitude consummate professional, I dare say.

Been coming for a while now. He doesnt play enough for a player of his quality. Its a pity though what transpired as we could have got great money from PSG last summer.
Anyways, its total bollocks to criticize him for how he's handled it in the press. he's been absolutely fantastic.. Will be sad to see him go as he's a joy to watch and favorite of mine but it'l be good to see him play again..

top player - could be a mercenary and sit back and collect a wedge but wants a career to remember. Sad if he goes. Has handled himself admirably under the circumstances.
Noone can blame him for saying he's not happy with playing so seldom as he does - that goes without saying.
Also, he says he does't know if he'll be at United after the summer. Which is obviously true, as that's the club's decision. He'll get the extension, and then the club decides if they'll sell him. Which they probably will.

The issue is that if you deleted his goals we would be on exactly the same amount of points in the league and no better in any other competitions.
