Me too, he was absolutely immense in his prime. Rooney said he is the best defender he's ever played against.
He still is very good, if the rest of the team was a bit more compliant you wouldn't notice how he's aged, same as Rio really. Always checking his shoulder and talking, you'd be amazed at how many defenders don't do either of those.
Oh yeah no doubt, I wasn't implying he is shit now or anything. But he is definitely past his peak.
Agree with the Rio comparisons, Nesta is one of the only defenders I can think of that reads the game better than Rio. Both class acts.
