Would have preferred to see fabio in place of jones, but decent team to start our season proper still

There's a serious lack of goal threat isn't there, other than RvP I don't see where the goals are coming from. I hope to feck Valencia is in some sort of form.

Giggs shouldn't be starting us at 40. Just shows how badly we done in the transfer market.

I'd rather give Januzaj a chance rather than Giggs at 40.

Not a first eleven that will win us the league.

Well add two of Rooney, Kagawa, Nani to that attack and that's easily a team that can win us the league. Anyway it's our squad that will win us the league imo.

Let's see what Moyes does when there aren't the side effects of international friendlies in the equation. Kagawa will start against Chelsea IMO.

Said this before Sunday's match. Bar RVP, it's not a front 6 that will scare City or Chelsea.

Just went into FB and sadly it´s all over. Liverpool are winning the lot. They are fecking all over FB the fecking twats. I hope we thrash the welsh cnuts so I´ll be able to login on FB later tonight. COME ON UNITED

Wait... why? They scraped a 1-0 win over Stoke at home, thanks only to a penalty save. Even the scousers surely aren't using that as a sign of great things to come?

Pretty strong lineup, I'd of course have Kagawa in there in place of Giggs but I figure the former is being rested due to midweek internationals and/or lack of fitness.

Keen to see how Valencia performs, really hope he revives that deadly form of his a couple seasons back when he was unplayable.

Danny was MOTM on Wednesday, if he can pick up where he left off against Scotland he'll be in the mix.

Giggs starting over Kagawa disappoints me. But with travelling I guess I can understand for today

But it's a team that's missing Rooney and Nani two players who can get a good amount of goals, our squad contains Hernandez as well, worth 15 goals plus as a squad player. I honestly don't get what the fuss is, 2 of our main strikers are injured/not match fit, same with 3 of our creative players in nani, kagawa and young. Why not think of it as how good a team could they put out missing as many players?

Not a massive fan of that line-up. Nothing horrible, but I wouldn't have had either Giggs or Valencia starting. Nani and Kagawa would make more sense.

EDIT: Although actually I suppose Kagawa's on the bench because of the international travel, so maybe that's why Giggs is in. Still think Nani should have been picked over Valencia.

Decent line-up. Not one I'd enjoy seeing more often but hopefully one that can do a job today

It is a shame not to see Januzaj on the bench, but we have Zaha there and think it was always doubtful both would be in the squad

I don't think Nani is fit and Kagawa has looked really rusty in pre-season, Giggs has been sharp from what I've seen.

One thing's for sure. This isnt going to be easy, especially with the players out injured or out for another reason.

Yeah I've not really been paying attention, it makes more sense taking fitness into account. I don't think Giggs has been that sharp - he always has good moments but he doesn't do nearly enough of the leg-work, and gives the ball away too much. But if Kagawa and Rooney aren't fully fit then he's the next best thing.

Saturday night football looks interesting with the live crowd in the studio.

Really need to stop making Giggs a regular first team starter. This is not about performance. Even if he does OK, it is in a way hampering first team experience for others who are future.
