Lindegaard
Fabio Smalling Evans Buttner
Cleverley Anderson
Nani Rooney Kagawa
Hernandez
--
de Gea; Vidic; Carrick, Giggs, Zaha, Januzaj; Welbeck
Young will probably still be involved though, somehow.

Well with RVP out again, I'd hope that Moyes puts out a team that actually has a few goals in it, rather than stick Rooney up top with Welbeck, Valencia and Young and hope for the best.

Nani, Hernandez and Kagawa should surely start this.

This is a perfect opportunity to try Plan B. It's about time we try Kagawa in his favorite position and give Nani and Zaha a run out. The defense picks itself really, if Rafas fit then you could put Fabio at LB and give Rafa a run out at RB.

Lindegaard
Fabio Smalling Evans Buttner
Cleverley Anderson
Zaha Kagawa Nani
Rooney

I'd throw Hernandez on at 60mins whatever the score and replace Rooney.

League Cup. Play the players that need match time, save the Sunday players for this coming weekend. I could care less about the result, would prefer to see the reserves/youth get their chance in a basically meaningless competition.

Kagawa and Nani should play but also would like to see Adnan and Zaha. Rooney can be on the bench for late sub if required. Start Hernandez.

I fear Buttner will get raped down the wing but does the club have any fit fullbacks beyond the regulars? Keane, Thorpe, Blackett?

DDG
Fabio Smalling Evans Evra
Fellaini Cleverley
Nani Kagawa Januzaj
Chicharito

Is what I would like to see, Fellaini in over Carrick just to give him some more game time. Zaha, Rooney, and Carrick to come on at some point.

Fellaini can't play in the League Cup for us, he played against Stevenage for Everton already.

I don't think Rooney will start but it wouldn't surprise me.

Lindegaard
Valencia Smalling Evans Fabio
Nani Cleverley Anderson Giggs
Kagawa
Hernandez
I would like to see Zaha start, but I feel Giggs is almost certain to do so. I fancy Valencia at right back with Fabio left because I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with Fabio and Buttner both playing and likely leaving us exposed. We simply just can't start Evra in every single game but Moyes might not take the risk in leaving him out, possibly doing so in easier home League games. Liverpool aren't playing until Sunday so they will probably field a strong side, including Suarez. I'd love to see Januzaj get some more game time and it would be a huge show of faith should Moyes pick him to start, I don't think that's very likely though after what happened on Sunday.

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand I wanna play our strongest side to make sure we beat them seeing as they've already beat us and after the City game. But then on the other we have a lot of players that haven't had enough minutes and need games.

Have we ever played Kagawa as AM and Rooney CF in the same game? I'v been desperate to see that since we signed Shinki but the arrival of RVP and various other factors have stopped it from happening.

Would love to see it tomorrow but Hernandez needs games too so I don't think we will, shame because I think we'd see the best of Kagawa that way.

I thini I'd like to see:

De Gea
Rafael Evans Vidic Fabio
Fellaini Cleverley
Nani Kagawa Januzaj
Hernandez

I think we played with Shinji behind Rooney in the first game last season against Everton.

Spot on. Except perhaps, Kagawa and Januzaj switch with Rooney as AM and Januzaj to come on for Roo with half hour left, but I wouldn't be adverse to Januzaj starting.

I thought Welbeck was on the left that game, could be wrong though. I do remember Kagawa played well, at least compared to everyone else who were pretty poor.

Can't remember too well myself, either way I'd like to see Kagawa as number ten every time one of RVP and Rooney is unavailable..

Fellaini is cup tied mate, good line up though. Either Carrick or Anderson to come in...

De Gea
Rafael Evans Smalling Fabio
Cleverley Anderson
Nani Kagawa Giggs
Chicharito

Would like to see Januzaj, Welbeck and Rooney involved though.

Ah. Carrick in that case then. Don't like the Cleverley - Anderson pairing much.

Neither am I really but it did yield some exciting football, which we could really do with right now!

My concern with this game if moyes is gonna take a lot from it in terms of rating people like nani and kagawa is that the team is unbalanced and makes it harder for people to shine. We saw it a few times under fergie where we would try and bring in a lot of players who often ended up out of position and imo it definitely made it harder for players to really show what they could do.

Hopefully in defence we see something like rafael Evans smalling fabio.

Up front you'd like kagawa and Hernandez but reckon there's a good chance Rooney will play. Midfield will be interesting. I think clev will start but it depends if moyes really wants to rotate. If worry than ando or giggs would just leave us a bit exposed in the middle. Could be that carrick plays this one as well.

Main thing for me is getting nani, kagawa and Evans , Hernandez too as well game time. Would be great to see januzaj start but don't think moyes will go for that as well:

Would love to see this:

-------------DDG---------------
Fabio---Evans---Vidic-----Evra
------Carrick----Cleverly------
Zaha------Kagawa-----Januzaj
-----------Rooney------------

Bench: Lindegaard, Smalling, Ferdinand, Anderson, Valencia, Nani, Hernandez

I can't be bothered anymore. My interest in United has somewhat stalled this season (not only to do with Moyes). I'll not be able to watch every game and got shit lot of work to do. I'm not going to watch a team that I don't want to see playing. And playing Giggs and Young constantly depsite their horrendous performances as of late just makes me furious. I'm not gonna do that to myself. Same goes for Valencia btw.

Don't be such a precious fanboy!! You spoilt person!

Prepare for the mother of all shit storms if we lose this....It'll be colossal!!

I think we'll win anyways

A lot of us already have the "Only the League cup" excuse ready if needs be :nervous:

Da Silva fullback aka my dream come true!

-------Lindegarad---------
Rafael-Smalling-Evans-Fabio
Zaha-Jones-Anderson-Januzaj
---------Kagawa--------
--------Hernandez---------

All of these players need to play badly. I know it won't make for a cohesive unit but the League Cup really does give an opportunity for these situations. I'm torn - should players like Carrick and Rooney start, get the job done and make way for the youngsters? Or should the youngsters take the responsibility and start and rely on the veterans to come in after 60 mins to salvage the game if we are losing?

Tough call but the young players and players coming back to fitness absolutely need this game time.

I know that Jones/Ando midfield combo scares the shit out of everyone! But both need time!

Hopefully something like:

De Gea

Rafael Evans Vidic Fabio

Carrick Anderson

Nani Kagawa Januzaj/Zaha

Hernandez

One of Januzaj/Zaha starting and the other one coming in somewhere at the second half. Rooney being in the bench just in case we need him. Hopefully no Welbeck, Valencia and Giggs and I pray to Spaghetti Monster that Young won't be in the squad.

Really? You couldn't care less if Liverpool beat you in the COC?

I know its 3rd choice of the domestic competitions, but that's a bit poor.

I think you mean these players badly need to play, not play badly.

Both Hernandez and Kagawa deserve to play, although I wouldn't start them both. Having two midgets up front won't help much unless we're Barca.

Would love to see:
DDG
FABIO----EVANS----VIDIC-----EVRA
CARRICK-----CLEVERLEY
NANI-----KAGAWA-----ADNAN
ROONEY

I'd love to see;
DDG
Fabio - Smalling - Evans - Buttner
Anderson----Cleverley
Zaha------Kagawa------Nani
Rooney

Of course with Chicharito or Welbeck in place of Rooney/Kagawa. Just not Welbeck floating. Welbeck, Chicha or Rooney as the out and out line running striker playing up top.

--------------------amos/lindegaard------------------
rafael-------smalling--------------evans--------fabio
zaha-----cleverley--------------anderson-------nani
---------------------kagawa-----------------------
---------------------hernandez--------------------

subs: amos/lindegaard, buttner, giggs, welbeck, rooney, carrick, zanuzaj

want to see zaha, nani, kagawa and hernandez in the starting line up.
need a strong bench as well.

Really want to see a front 4 of either Zaha/Januzaj Kagawa Nani and Hernandez tonight.

All 5 of them have been patient, and deserve a chance to show what they have

All this #freeshinji stuff is really annoying, especially as he has not been showing his true form when playing, so I hope he can boss this one.

Wouldn't suprise me though if Giggs / Young start on the wings
