Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

We really needed that equaliser. We haven't been bad but Spurs have definitely had some chances to be further ahead. For all our possession we've been a bit slow with our tempo. Too much of our play is in front of their defence and there aren't enough players getting in behind. We're also starting to become a bit predictable. Very little has come down the left from Evra, Welbeck and Kagawa, so we look to feed Valencia every time. He's having a good game but Spurs know what we're gonna do time and time again.

We need to drastically improve what's happening on the other side and the middle if we want to cause them more problems. Let's step it up and get in front.

Thought we played pretty well, just a couple of defensive brainfarts and Valencia having the most frustrating afternoon imaginable.

Really? I don't think he is being as frustrating as he was last season. Atleast he is beating his man, his crossing could be worked on though.

Welbeck doesn't look fit, get him off for Nani to get Kagawa back central.

What f*cking match are you watching. We are easily the better team.

Spurs have been much better than us for the majority of the match. It could have been easily 3-0 if Soldado and Lennon wouldn't lost those good chances.

Valencia comfortably has the beating of Vertonghen. Shame his crossing is so abysmal. We also take an eternity to get the ball in to dangerous areas. Cleverley's so cumbersome in posssession.

I agree with those who say we've been decent to an extent but have we really created a chance besides the one that had to be gifted to us from Walker for the goal? Spurs have looked far more dangerous.

Valencia is playing well but doing his usual of getting in good positions and just blasting it at the first defender. We have no threat down the left because Welbeck isn't a winger, and we've just left Evra on his own to try and beat Lennon and Walker just to get a cross in. Nani on please.

Why the feck have Shinji and Danny changed positions?

We need to get Nani on and play him on the left. Kagawa and Welbeck are both central atm and its leaving Spurs's biggest defensive liability with nothing to do.

if lennon is average what does that make evra?

Evra shat his pants vs lennon even back when he was at his best. He's nowhere close to that level nowadays.

I actually think the performance today has been an improvement on Cardiff. That doesn't mean to say we're playing well, Rooney is our best player but the others have been average.

the game rests on an interesting pivot at half time, valencia, jones and rooney playing well. Kagawa was looking sharp earlier in the half. Welbeck doesnt look fit and cleverley is playing within himself. I think we have a chance to get a countering goal following the early pressure spurs will put on us at the start of the second half, but if not, i think bringing on either hernandez or nani on for welbeck - nani to add a bit of balance on the left hand side and hernandez if they play a high line against us will bear fruit. (bringing on fellaini for cleverley to balance that)

Lets hope we continue to dominate possession like we did at the end of the first half

Last season he was too scared to take on his man. This year he can't cross. Just wish he could put then together. When he did in 09/10 (or 10/11? Can't remember) he was brilliant.

Such brainless defending of that free-kick. Surely the players do some kind of research on set-pieces, when has Walker ever curled one over the wall? Prick always just belts them and hopes.

Welbeck isn't the problem. It's Cleverley. He had so much opportunity to pick out Rooney or Kagawa and he's passed it out wide. He's hiding again.

Only sub to make. But no doubt Kagawa will go off for Young

No fecking way, Kagawa is staying, it's going to be Nani or Young for Welbeck around the 60th minute mark.

Welbeck off for Nani makes so much sense that surely it cannot possibly happen.

I don't understand why Moyes risked playing Welbeck but wouldn't do it with Rafa. Nani had a decent game on wednesday and I wonder if we are rotating far too much.

I don't want him to go off but think Moyes will do it. He'll want 'hard workers' throughout

He keeps getting into great positions and then booting it into the nearest Spurs player.
