His level of composure is just staggeringly higher than anyone else we have. Wouldn't have looked out of place playing ahead of Gotze in that Bayern side.

Great game tonight. He was on another level to our other players, truly. He has to start more.
He was immense. I hope Moyes adopts a progressive approach with him and Kagawa doesn't want to leave us. So much potential for this team with a player like him.
I think that he has shown today that there is absolutely no reason to start Young above him, even if it is for Young's defensive quality, because as we saw, Kagawa is a better 'defender' than Young.
This. The team should be build around them. Let Rooney and RVP fight for the striker position (or sell one of them), let Welbeck,Januzaj and probably Valencia fight for the last attacking position.
Had it not been for Rooney's goalscoring ability and set-pieces, then Kagawa would have been our most well-rounded outfield player. He's great/brilliant at pretty much everything, except for making crunshing tackles and blasting the ball into the net from long distances. He should consult with Scholes!

He did very well, only mistake was that ball for Hernandez, where he did brilliantly to even get into that position.
One of the only ones who even had half a bollock to pull together an ounce of composure and pull off passes when pressed by Bayern. This is the type of player we need to be heading forward with, and we should have learnt this a long time ago when we played Barcelona.
We'd be in the champions league next season if Moyes played him from the start of the season instead of taking 9 months to realize he's a top class player. Brilliant again today, only player on our team who can keep hold of the ball under pressure and showed how good he is on the ball too, with his dribbling and great touches. Would be absolutely criminal if he left, but I don't think he will after this last month.

Himself and Mata are probably one of the few hopes for us attacking wise. Start them both every game.

Showed his class against world class opponents which is what we want at a club with United's stature. Wasn't fazed and didn't lose his head when pressured, generally picked the right options, and did a great job pressing and defending, for the entire 90 minutes.
You wonder what took Moyes so long to realise that if you play an excellent player regularly and get his confidence up, he might you know, actually play well.

So much of the "Well, SAF didn't play him that much either so he's not that good" crowd fails to understand what SAF was doing that season.

I totally agree, though. Moyes' failure to see Kagawa's talent has quite possibly thrown us out of top 4. It's actually sickening to think that both RVP and Rooney were injured at one stage, without Kagawa featuring. We went for months without RVP and Mata, and Kagawa still barely featured. It just doesn't make any sense.
Under Moyes, Kagawa's playtime and influence has been cut in half(and then some). Look at Kagawa's performances last season, in the CL this season, and in the PL for the last couple of weeks. Then look at Valencia, Young, Welbeck and Januzaj. Would any sensible manager to put all of these players ahead of Kagawa in the pecking order for the PL games? Hell, I think it's crazy to put even one of them ahead of Kagawa, unless he's in the form of his life.

Like I'm not saying Kagawa is our best player, or is one of the best in the world. He's definitely a top class player though, and what he brings more then anything is him lifting everyone else's game, making us more fluid along with helping us keep possession and offering someone to pass the ball to better then anyone else. He's not our best player (though he is up there), but he definitely makes the biggest difference to the way we play.
Well, at least after 10 months Moyes has finally realised the obvious in Kagawa

Great performance from Kagawa tonight. Was always willing to receive the ball and didn't panic when he got it. I really hope we keep him because he's the type of player we need if we want to reach Bayern's heights.

It goes back to the statement that we need to play more often the technical players like him around instead of the dross he had for most of the season.
Did anyone notice that little moment when Kagawa kept the ball against 3 Bayern players near the corner area, then played a pass to Valencia who promptly stumbles the ball out against a Kraut's knee? Kagawa heaved his head to the heavens and looked frustrated with the level of technique in our team whereas Valencia was happy to have the throw-in, not an ounce of remorse or disappointment that a continuance of the play in that situation would have created a far more promising situation.

Going back to that period pre Mata and with RVP and Rooney on the sidelines, he didn't even make the bench despite being fully fit. Kind of bonkers as when Mata was signed I thought it would be the final nail in the Kagawa coffin. Yet here we are 2 months later and he is a key player. These 2 must really be firing on all cylinders in training for Kagawa to get Moyes to change his mind. Hope he stays.
