That is because most of the people don't watch non-American movies at all, or at best the ratio is like 90% with 10%. So, while not fair, it isn't surprising.

Considering all things, it is actually a decent list. The best so far on top 50 IMO.

All of them deserve Top 50 film over Gladiator, Terminator 2 and other dropping dross permeating this Top 50. How can anyone put that over some brilliant movies that didn't even make the list. I guess they don't have the hype in their favour.

Said it last night, list is filled with great movies, but still feels dull. But that's just how it is, can't fault people that voted really.

I was thinking about that earlier. But everybody has different taste in music so there will be so many different songs on there. I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to count the votes.
 
Only way to do Top 50 songs is to have everybody nominate 1 song each or something like that, and then voting on the selection available, but I think that would be a lot of work, and could easily lead to an dissatisfactory result for most..

Fecking feudalist. However, a top 100 with restriction like max number of movies from a decade, max number of movies from a single director and at-least X number of foreign movies required could be interesting.
