If this does happen then we shouldn't be rest on our laurels. Right on to the next one.

Still to sign Di Maria, Hummels and a right back.

I personally think we have this one wrapped up, its the Di Maria transfer that has me worried.

I beg to differ Carl, I think the odds are in our favour for Vidal's impending arrival.

I hope you're right. If someone said before the Summer we were only allowed 1 singing then I'd have chosen Vidal.

There is simply too much smoke from a variety of sources not to be a fire.
In the past when asked about Vidal Juve have been quick to say he isnt for sale.
Every quote from Vidal I've read since about before the World Cup indicates that he isn't staying.

Since Roy Keane left in 2005 we haven't had someone of his caliber in the midfield, so this is especially exciting!

IF (big IF) we get Vidal, he alongside Herrera, United will all of a sudden go from having a weak midfield to one of the best in the Premier League and possibly Europe (even with no Champions League football).

Also from the slowest midfield Carrick and Fellaini to the fastest.

I don't know why people are suggesting players as part of the deal, that rarely happens in reality. Most likely is if Evra and Nani go to Juve and Vidal comes here then there'll be three separate transfers. Albeit that maybe Evra and Nani might be announced together.

Rumours are getting stronger and as they say there is no smoke without fire. Never thought it would happen, if it does it will be the signing I've been most excited about since we signed RVN.

Vidal Herrera
--- Mata

How will Herrera and Vidal operate? The only way I can see it working is in a midfield 3 with either Carrick or Cleverley. Are there any top, top teams who use 2 box to box midfielders without anybody to dictate play?

I agree they likely won't be officially part of the deal but if anything does happen then I wouldn't be surprised if Nani and Evra were used as sweetners.

Ducker said we aren't after him in his webcast.

Cleverley very soon : :(

Am I the only one to think that he's the most likely CM to remain at OT? He's young, a homegrown talent whose probably on a relatively low salary and wouldn't mind being a reserve. If you ask me Fletcher, Fellaini and Ando are ahead of him in the firing line

I don't think they'd have any difficulty operating. They both do a bit of everything but do it all slightly differently. Also, Herrera played all last season for Bilbao as the "pivot" player or whatever the feck it's being called these days.

If Bayern come in and sign him will this be the biggest ever transfer let down the caf has seen? There's been quite a few now we're almost immune to it.

There was a tweet from Ducker saying he doesn't believe we're actively pursuing him at the moment.

Weather it will be 4-2-31 or 4-3-3 they could operate with AMF up front, Mata or Kagawa.

I'd probably only get rid of Fellaini and Anderson personally. Cleverley is an adequate backup for Herrera and Vidal, along with Carrick.
