Interesting movie, only in that scene.
And not in the stage play either.
Interesting movie, only in that scene.
I like this picture. It is as if Giggs was saying, "We did our summer tour every year and we are quite used to that", and LvG said "don't you tell the press this!"... Giggsy obviously is very used to the commercial side of the club. Under Sir Alex, things always went seamlessly. Differences always resolved behind closed doors. LvG will learn.![]()
Good article

If Van Gaal's a success and wants to carry on, Giggs can wait.http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...anchester-united-pre-season-tour-ryan-7486828
United reportedly confident I Giggs ability to succeed van Gaal as manager.

FFS, this whole Giggs taking over from Van Gaal idea is horrible and needs to be killed with fire.
I'm fecking terrified of it too tbh.FFS, this whole Giggs taking over from Van Gaal idea is horrible and needs to be killed with fire.
Let Giggs take charge of the reserves or something, at least prove he's good enough a la Guardiola, before he's given the manager's seat at United.
It's romantic bollocks. Giggs has to prove himself first.Bollocks. If LVG is stepping down at some point and Giggs is up to it it's a wonderful prospect
Only on an idealistic level. None of us have a clue as to whether giggs will a great manager, a terrible manager or something in between.Bollocks. If LVG is stepping down at some point and Giggs is up to it it's a wonderful prospect

I've watched multiple training videos and interviews since Van Gaal has been here and I'm going to stay up late to watch a pre-season game. That's the difference right there. I'd be hibernating until the start of the season if Moyes was still here. Van Gaal has lifted the whole club.
I have a lot of faith in Van Gaal, I really do.
Really? That's very interesting. Suddenly a competition I usually amen't too fussed about is very intriguing. He will I imagine take charge of the League Cup games with van Gaal his assistant, this is what LvG has done historically with other assistants.

Ah sure. I read that as "up for it" for some reason.Which is why I posted if he's up to it.
If he's up to it it's a no brainer. How and when we know whether or not he's up to it is debateable.

So Giggs gets the job by default because he just happens to be the last of the class of 92 left? Its nonsense, and will end in disaster. If Giggs goes away, proves himself as a manager in his own right, then fantastic.
If last season showed us anything, its that a club of this size needs a proven manager, at the top level. No more gambles.
READ MY POST FFS. IF HE'S UP TO IT.

Except for Giggs maybe. Van Gaal will listen to his input. I think this is a great opportunity for Giggs. Van Gaal's mentoring certainly helped others make their mark as exceptional coaches.
Giggs apparently would have made Ferdinand United's number 1 centre-back for next season if he was in charge. If we go for him with Klopp available, I'll kill myself.
"Imagining the conversation"? You are taking these a bit too seriously, mate. Theres no need to get worked upThis looking at photos and imagining the conversation thing is getting a bit out of hand...
Shit, I remember hearing all sorts from United fans in 2005, "Keane will take over from Fergie surely!", while Keane did gain Sunderland promotion, United is a different scale. Shit even Moyes was one of the best managers in the league, United is a different story altogether. Guardiola is an anomaly, if you listen to him talk, his philosophy, his intelligence comes across, Giggs was just spouting clichésWhat reasons are there for giving Giggs the job? I mean apart from sentimental reasons.
If he was to go off now and get a championship club promoted and keep them in the PL, with good football etc, all while LvG is busy here then you could understand. But he's going to get no real experience due to being No. 2. He hasn't done enough to be considered imo, you can't just 'groom' someone for the role.
As is anyone being given the job. ref- Last seasonAnd how's he going to prove that as Van Gaal's assistant?
I'm not against Giggs taking over in the future, once he's proven himself as a manager. But the club seem to want him to take over directly after Van Gaal, which would be a massive risk, and imo, a disaster waiting to happen.
This, it's the individual and nothing to do with their rep as a player. Guardiola was studying to be a coach well before his career had ended, and used to regularly fly over to fecking Argentina every other weekend to discuss tactics with Juan Lillo, he was praised as a student of the game from all corners. Giggs just seems a bit of a flat personality, with a limited interest in what it is that makes a coach, rather than what makes a player. Perhaps an unfair judgement but it's the feeling I get from him.Shit, I remember hearing all sorts from United fans in 2005, "Keane will take over from Fergie surely!", while Keane did gain Sunderland promotion, United is a different scale. And I now really hope its Giggs next and not Klopp
