Vorm, Friedel and Lloris. 3 top keepers, would all start at most of the sides in the league.

Spurs best chances of winning a trophy. They'll most likely stick with Lloris, one of the best keepers if not the best in the entire league.
Good keeper, definitely not the best in the league though. De Gea is ahead of him. I'd still rate Cech over over him, and now Cortouis is in the league as well. Lloris would make me nervous if he were my team's keeper. I think he takes risks too often for my liking.

This could be just a pre-season experiment of course but I'm happy for us to give it a go, as it potentially could see Mata, Rooney and van Persie all utilised in their best positions. If that front three clicked, it'd be as good as anything in the League.

Two other things come to my mind with this formation; firstly if we did go three at the back, I don't think it'd be inconceivable we'd sign all three of De Vrij, Vermaelan and Blind, given the latter can play a holding midfield role as well. It'd be almost certain we'd sign at least two of them I'd say.

Secondly, it'd surely be the end of the line for both Young and Nani who don't fit the formation at all. If we did ever need to change to wingers, we'd have enough other players who can adapt to both formations and play wide.

How good is Balanta? I know he is a beast in FM but have never seen him play.
Barca wanted him too, but they went for a player who is good enough already. I think that tells you a lot. He will be a very good player. Defensively a beast.

Yet they're broke. Vicious circle really.

Turning to shite like Poli and an ageing Essien is not the answer though (Milan). Allegri was partly to blame but the squad is filled with average. Inter don't have many stand outs either. Palacio has dug them out of a few holes a couple times and is an okay player. Other than that, the impact the first eleven players are making is minimal. They have a million players going in and out on loan as well. Milan are a mess in particular.

United NOT playing a 4-4-2

I am so excited for next season.

I know nothing more than his Football Manager stats as well. Needs to improve on his heading

He lacks concentration, decision making and throw himself too much when he tackles. As a left back he is lethal.

I Know about the Barca rumors but at 4m you would assume every big club in Europe would be after him if he was such a big talent its not like he is unknown. But as I said I have never seen him play so maybe he is a big talent and all the big teams just didn´t rate him

For all we know other clubs might have been in for him.
There are many examples of young players being signed at cheap prices by many clubs.
I still expect big things from him. Its 4 million +bonuses. I think we will talk about him in 2-3 years from now

Agreed. But we will take the risk on a possibility of a Hargreaves mk.II ?
Yeah, but one ACL injury is different to persistent knee injuries. Some doctors say that players come back stronger from ACL injuries if they rehab right.

They would all be utilised in their favoured positions, but I still don't see it as the solution to this little conundrum and it would still have implications on our overall game. It's an exceptional front three on paper, but ideally, you need a forward with pace who will pull wide and stretch the opposition defence. Our wingbacks would be tasked with providing the width and pace, but it our attacking play could still end up as far too narrow and congested.

Agree with your other points however. If we do opt for the 3-5-2/5-3-2 on a regular basis, there wouldn't be a necessity for a winger. In fact, it's a system that could allow a bit more tactical flexibility with other attacking players perhaps deployed as one of the front two from time to time, like Januzaj in a very free role. To get the best out of the team, I think Welbeck would excel alongside either van Persie or Rooney and they would work more in tandem than the latter two together.

Playing a three centre back system would be the only logical reason for signing de Vrij and Vermaelen in my opinion. I would classify Blind as a formality as e can cover numerous roles and is an intelligent player who can work well in any system, but unless we play three centre backs, we only need to sign one and there are no question marks over Evans', Smalling or Jones' future.
