Feck knows, Chesney had a good season so it'd be harsh to drop him, especially with Casillas being gash recently. Would be surprised if Arsenal'd pay Casillas a massive wage to be a back up though as I imagine he's on quite a lot at Madrid.
There is talk that if he does go to arsenal that Madrid will play some of his wages.

Bascombe and King both reporting we're back in for Bertrand for £8m, but Chelsea don't want to sell him to us.

Were you ever seriously in for Davies or was he just a back up option? Couldn't have seen him picking Spurs over you if you were and would be a surprise if not, I think he's better than both Bertrand & Moreno.

He was a back up to Moreno and Bertrand I think.

Chez is prone to some high profile mistakes throughout the season, he needs a back-up keeper to keep him on his toes when he makes said feck up.

Ah fair enough, bit of a strange one that with him seemingly looking to move on a free too.
I think letting him go for free is just more out of respect as he wants first team football so as to make it easier for him to move and that he will have more options. If it was another player then he would be kept for as long as possible like ozil was and di maria is now so as to get as much money as possible. Casillas could still stay though for all I know.

Casillas won't move anywhere where he wouldn't be first choice. If he went to Arsenal he'd take Szczesny's place and rightly so, he's miles better.

Moreno's the best of the three by some distance IMO.

I'm not sure he is anymore. He hasn't been first choice 'keeper for two top class managers in Mourinho and Ancelotti, he also had a terrible World Cup.

Nah think Moreno's a bit overrated tbh, had an average and inconsistent season and he's not worth the £20m or whatever it was Sevilla wanted for him, especially when Bernat went for around half that. Davies had a better year and is the better play currently for me. Don't think Bertrand's any good though.

Szczesny is a better keeper and he's young so he will only get better. Casillas is garbage these days. Would be eaten up alive in the premier league.

Kind of retarded from our point of view if that is literally the most we are willing to dish out on a world class midfielder in an area of the pitch where we literally have not got a single top player.

If United were to be just posturing that's fine but after all the big talk about transfers, I would personally expect us offer well up to at least £50million before walking away.

Posturing on our part i would think...

Tuttosport said it was a done deal not so long ago, it's safe to say they are not a 100% accurate with their news...

Woodward: "We're willing to spend big money."
Juventus: "Can we've big money for a world class player you so desperately need?"
Woodward: "£39 million, take it or leave it bitch."

I expect a flurry of solid reliable links to world class players today, with players scrambling to play for Manchester United: current club of Louis Van Gaal, slayers of LA Galaxy and Chevrolet Cup World Champions.

Be silly not to.

I've gotten to the point where I fully trust van Gaal to buy whomever he likes based on that player(s) ability to play in his system. He's knows what he's doing. If he pushes for Vidal and we get him, great. If he doesn't and pursues someone else, I will trust LVG's judgement.
