Yes, to Manchester; not to TraffordBut he said "no, no" to Manchester![]()
No idea who this is or what it says but I'm posting it
I completely agree with you, but i meant it in a way that it'll show up quite a few of our average player for van Gaal to see. Obviously we can all see who is utter crap, and it's infuriating when we see them play week in and week out, regardless of how bad they play. Hopefully these useless players will be exposed for van Gaal to see for himself when we play a better team then LA Galaxy and then they'll be on the first taxi out of OT.
So where is this big name signing that Woodward promised us? "Oh we are going to break the transfer record", "Watch this space" Yeah well we are going to lose Vidal to the Scousers....
I guessed that but I don't know what the article saysManchester United insists El Ángel Di María

Transfer window is still open.. I don't get why everyone is panicking. We could still sign Vidal, Van gaal said few times he needs time to assess the current squad.. If we are interested in Vidal and some other club makes a bid - I am sure we will make a move to sign hime. Just chill everybody. So where is this big name signing that Woodward promised us? Whats this craic about Vidal signing for Pool?
Is that the same regurgitated story that was doing the rounds the other day, or is there new reports that its on?
Havent been on here in a few days!
It says that we insist him.
I'm glad you're amused, are you basing Smallings performances on him being played at right back by any chance?
It wasn't the statement, it just tickled me how fiercely loyal we are to our players for better or for worse. we've had years of "This is Ando's year" "nani's gunna come back strong" individually the opinions are fine, its just the pattern occurring.Nothing wrong with that statement.

Getting beyond a joke now. They're basically selling off their best assets.

We are being linked to this lad, and I like that. Think is he available and attainable.
He'll improve Cleverley. I can see him being a success under van Gaal, as a water carrier for Hererra/whoever else in midfield. I agree with Fellaini and Anderson. Fletcher I refuse to give up on, but that's probably blind loyalty.I agree with most of this post but you cannot wash and tidy up Anderson,Fellaini,Cleverley, Fletcher. They are just mediocre at best. LvG is not a miracle worker. Carrick is our best midfielder but turning 33 and not even good enough to play for England also we no longer have Giggs to call upon.
Herrera oozes class but come the games against City and the like he will be hopelessly overrun with any of those clowns supporting him and our defence will be under a lot of pressure just like last year.
I for one would take Blind even DeJong but I'm sure if these were actually wanted then Van Gaal would've had either of them signed by now.
Vidal and Kroos would have been muppet gold but obviously a) we did not actually want them or much more likely b) they did not want to join us.
However I'm not letting one preseason game and a quality pedigree manager paper over the serious cracks we have in midfield and defence so I'm not 100% buying the 'I will assess the players' statement. The season starts in 3 weeks he will need to improve our midfield and our central defence if he seriously wants to challenge for the title so surely we must be like Eddy big balls said working on transfers right now.
They can't really stop it either. They do not want to sell their best players but realistically they'll never win anything at S'ton, so for a chance of a higher wage and a shot at the title or trophy why not join a top 5 club? And as for S'ton, if the player wants to leave and the money is right they have to sell.
Yeah, we should ideally sign players who explicitly don't want to play for the club. We could maybe trick them into signing for us by pretending we're Real Madrid.Average players dont turn into great players overnight. The deadwood we have has been evident for 2-3 years. I for one am f*cking sick of seeing them play in the shirt & its about time we stopped that policy of handing a shirt to an average player who might come good..
This other policy of only goin for players who really want to play for the club is as brain-dead also. Most great players will fall in love with the club once they're here..

The crux of my post is really that you don't have to sign superstar players to build a good squad. We already have our sprinkling of stardust in Hererra, he's going to be a revelation in our midfield. Add some defensive stability around him, Mata in front of him and we're set.
They could if they wanted to. Sadly it seems they're cutting away all of the most saleable assets. Unless they buy really well it would surprise me to see them in the bottom 6 or 7 next season. They can't really stop it either. It really has come to that hasn't it.
Anxious last few weeks of the transfer window for us. It really is
Ya he looks quality alright but like Di Maria if we're gonna play a 352 there isn't room for him unless we're gonna play 433 a lot and even at that he'll cost €50m if the rumours are true.

As Solius said, he needs a decent run at CB, he will come good. I have no doubtI didn't see it as that really. Smalling has never been anywhere near as abject as Anderson has been for us. Also didn't help that he was shunted out wide for most of last season.
