What would you do with mata? I don't think there's much debate for our front 3, rvp, Rooney and mata are far ahead of any competition IMO. Signing di Maria would be brilliant but we'd probably change to a 4-3-3.If I had to choose one I would prefer Di Maria over Vidal. We need that blisterinh pace and skill to stretch defenders with Rooney and RvP taking two of the three front spots.
It seems like some on here have forgotten about Di Maria being one of the, if not THE best players for a CL winning team full of superstars.Me too mate
I'd take De Jong if it meant we can sign Di Maria to be honest but I understand everyone has their own preferences. It seems like some on here have forgotten about Di Maria being one of the, if not THE best players for a CL winning team full of superstars.
He certainly was their gamechanger in he biggest games like the two amazing crosses to Benzema accounting for 2 out of the 3 goals they scored vs Barca or that amazing solo run that created the sitter for Bale in the CL final... he was among the 8 best players last season. And probably together with Modric the best big game player in club football last season.

BeIN are owned by the owner of PSG, I have a basic understanding of Arabic and the tweet that @KM posted says "we're close to signing Di Maria"
He is Afghan-Egypt United.Computer master of twitter and speaks Arabic....Are you the lovechild of Chloe and Jack Bauer?
Exactly. I'd take someone who could do a job in midfield for us (and given our lack of quality there we would see an instant improvement in that area with a decent addition like de Jong) and get Di Maria here pronto.I'd take De Jong if it meant we can sign Di Maria to be honest but I understand everyone has their own preferences.

He is worth about half of half of that.Strootman is not worth even half of that.
Vermaelen wants the United http://fb.me/6L345GQHc
Moyes effect. Could have got him and Thiago for £4m more than Fellaini.
He will never Chelsea but he barcelona another day because now he wants the United. But I thought he Barcelona? Looks like he will never Chelsea.

I'd say it's more to do with him being one of the most consistently stand out performers in Serie A last season and just a little bit of a Dutch love in.Can't say I've seen that much of Roma in the past year but seemingly Strootman has gone from 'ridiculously priced' at £15m to worth £30m+ plus in a year, seemingly because we now have a Dutch manager.

He wanted to come to us too, IIRC
Snap that hand off with all your might. That would be up there with Arsenal making a profit on Vermaelen by selling to us. Rodgers doesn't fancy him and he's injury prone. He can be replaced.Sport are reporting that Barcelona want Agger for 15m if they don't land Marquinhos. Rumours of Agger having a falling out with the manager.

Fair point. Though I suppose one of Liverpool's main goals this season has to be to keep Kolo Toure as far away from the first team as possible and Sakho still strikes me as someone who only plays footy as it gives him a regular opportunity to boot people really hard.Lovren and Sakho - he's already replaced it seems. Could perhaps use a 5th centre back for extra cover but it's not necessary.
