One of the most glorious footballers I've ever seen, without pace. Something special.
No, he is on a 5k week. Or something like that, maybe 5k plus bonuses. He was signed from Crewe where he's got way short of 1k a week, so it was a substantial raise for him.If you think Nick powell is on 5k a week, you are mistaken.
Juan Mata.

And it's wrong as well. While Mata's pace is not blistering, it's not non-existent either.Did you really need two posts to say that? That too in the Van Gaal thread.
So is LVG saying that Rooney's assist to Mata would have been a mishit under normal circumstances?“I think we didn’t play a good match,” Van Gaal said. “I don’t know if it was because of the height [altitude] of stadium, or the air, but all of my passers failed today. It wasn’t normal.
“When you see [Juan] Mata or [Ander] Herrera, and [Shinji] Kagawa, who are the best passers and everything goes wrong, it is the air, I believe.
“It was the height and the air, the ball was bobbling all the time. But we scored remarkable, fantastic goals and were able to keep the ball in possession in the second half.
Looks like Louie starting to see that despite mind blowing result against L.A. this team has a lot to work on and in some places would be better and safer to have some world class additions... hopefully.
Still we can expect even up to three more departures. Some players may not fit into new system and it shouldn't be a surprise to be honest, especially 2nd team today showed some lack of ambition and precision despite the win.
True but Louie didn't hesitate to gave his honest opinion even after a friendly. I just hope he's not seeing us as already 'good to go' because we clearly are before the most important football tests. I'm sure he'll be very careful with optimism with his knowledge and experience. We were 3-0 up and comfortable against a good Roma side who had already been playing against better oppo than we have. A freak keeper lapse and a soft penalty put paid to that but it shouldn't detract from the fact that we were playing ok, and still comfortable against a good side.

What sort of salary you think Powell is on anyway? Like 20K?
Amos isn't good enough but those comments are harsh. No need to kill the guy in his press conference, just sell him and be done.

quicker than Usain Bolt eh!
Actually looks like there's a microphone setup just for his shadow! That's how awesome he is!
It's especially strange considering how bad he was against Roma. Fanboys will be fanboy I guess......Did you really need two posts to say that? That too in the Van Gaal thread.
Nothing wrong with seeing if a player can handle just criticism, if he can take it, he might keep it. Just like LVG dropped RVP but due to the way he reacted eventually made him captain.
Not all the time. He openly blamed Nani when Chelsea knocked us out of the capital one cup.heh, some pretty brutal comments.
It's the opposite of Fergie, who went out of his way to ensure he never laid any blame on individuals in the media and instead gave them bollockings in private. Be interesting to see how they take to it.
I've tried to blank that one out.Not all the time. He openly blamed Nani when Chelsea knocked us out of the capital one cup.

The comments aren't for Amos, who as you say is likely to leave. They're for the other players, showing that he won't tolerate rubbish. Not sure I like the comments on Amos.
Not needed IMO. Maybe needed if it was a player with a future at the club. It would be a good kick up the ass
But Amos has no future at utd. It will only serve to knock his confidence
For sure. Although funnily enough a lot of what Moyes said was similar to Fergie (we were the better team, should've won, played well etc), it's just that when Fergie said it you knew he was just covering for the media, where as with Moyes it sounded more like the whimpers of a desperate man.I doubt a lot of the players are thinking about Fergie. They are probably just counting their blessings that they don't have to deal with Round, Moyes and Lumsden.
