Those 81 crosses in 90 minutes were laughable.Don't forget the "Only people who understand football could see what we were doing today" quote after the shambolic Fulham performance.

Worst game I've ever seen us play. Those 81 crosses in 90 minutes were laughable.
He's come across very arrogant at United IMO.
On knocking out Olympiakos: "I've got us to the quarter-final and now the aim is to get to the semi-final."
On his next job:"I got my first real taste of Champions League this year and I thought I showed I can manage at that level. I would like to think I proved myself over the 11-year period at Everton and what I am capable of, and the level at which I want to manage."
On Martinez success at Everton: "I always told them they could play without a manager because they are very well organised."
On being fecking shit the whole season at United: "I actually think if Sir Alex was here this year it would be difficult for Sir Alex as well, and I'm sure he'd be aware of it. I think people are aware there's a squad that is a bit more aging, so I think it would have been a tough season for probably whoever was in charge of Manchester United this year."
He's come across very arrogant to me last season. As I've said, he pretty much blamed everything on players and genuinely considered himself a success. That was my main gripe with him and why I couldn't get myself to support him.
Worst game I've ever seen us play.
It was like being locked in a cupboard and forced to smoke 10 cigars. You never want one again.
"Oh you like wing play? Lets see how you like them after you watch 81 shit crosses in a row get cleared by some conference standard defender! Now who likes wing play?"
He's going to struggle getting another job.
No one else wanted him when he was at Everton, and that was the time to step up to a bigger club as a stepping stone. He has/had no ambition and anyway, no one else wanted him.
He wants a cosy little job where there is no pressure and he can improve a club & then stagnate for the rest of his career.
I can see him in the Championship, maybe Holland/Belgium leagues and disappearing into obscurity.
Wonder who is this player who gave up in Feb? By the looks of that statement it seems to be a popular one with the fans.. So was it RVP or Hernandez or Welbeck?? Weren't there rumours that Welbeck wanted to leave us..
You can see him taking over Newcastle and declaring them "one of the biggest clubs in the world".That's just crazy. Moyes was crap for us, but he's not THAT useless.
I reckon he'll do a good job for a club that's happy to stay in the EPL to roll in TV money, on a shoestring budget. A club like Newcastle for example.
Whether Moyes' ego would let him take a job with a "non-CL" club is another matter altogether.
I think it was Giggs who Ogden was referring to.If Ogden were to heed any sort of warning from the player it had to be one of the big names. Not to forget, for the story to "kill Moyes" then and there, it absolutely had to be a big name. In my opinion, it was one of RVP, Rio or Vida. Vida has always come across avoiding questions about Moyes's reign when he was at United. Rio is outspoken and quite a big voice in the media these days. RVP is well... he's one of the superstars of the club. He too would have voiced dissent and he did so to LVG who has hinted it here and there.
It won't be the likes of Hernandez or Welbeck. The top officials couldn't care less for what they have to say as they don;t amount to much when it comes to fans and public image. RVP, Rio or Vida would have been huge.
Oh wow yes... that's a lot more plausible. But, he did say player, Ogden. Though Giggs was player/coach, I'm not so sure.I think it was Giggs who Ogden was referring to.
Don't forget the "Only people who understand football could see what we were doing today" quote after the shambolic Fulham performance.
For one reason or another Ogden didn't run with the story. Ogden said if he named the player, that would have been the end of Moyes.Oh wow yes... that's a lot more plausible. But, he did say player, Ogden. Though Giggs was player/coach, I'm not so sure.

This is where I got a sense Ogden was referring to Giggs.
I've never thought of him as being arrogant, what have I missed here?
Those 81 crosses in 90 minutes were laughable.
Wee Jimmy could reveal all
Funny thing is once United came from behind to lead 2-1, I was thinking the never say die spirit you had under ferguson is still around. The lowest point during my time supporting the club and I honestly mean that. All hope in anything positive was lost after that game.
Just about every positive game/action we had came from sheer willpower of our players. I can't recall a game where I thought, "Moyes did something well tactically today."Funny thing is once United came from behind to lead 2-1, I was thinking the never say die spirit you had under ferguson is still around.
Just didn't work out for us, doesn't mean we all have to hate the guy and wish him bad luck.
Given his achievements at Everton, he should be aiming higher than west ham. Problem is, these days a lot of the mid table premier league teams even seem to want to get it down and play more technical football, as compared to before. So maybe it's not a bad shout.I think he's nailed on to be the next West Ham manager when Big Sam gets the sack.
Don't forget this one. I still don't know what he actually meant here, I doubt he knows either! Like most of the time!
It was gently pointed out that his team were 21 points worse off than at this stage last season. "Well, I was at Everton so I wasn't 21 points worse off," he replied. "I was at Everton."
He was just being catty. I don't blame him for all the weirdness. I'm sure many of us wouldn't come across well under the weight of such immense doubt, self doubt and blame.Don't forget this one. I still don't know what he actually meant here, I doubt he knows either! Like most of the time!

I agree that those quotes could come across as being arrogant. But in Moyes' case, I truly believe that he's just clueless and not self-aware. Just a bit of an idiot. Arrogant is Mourinho. He's come across very arrogant at United IMO.

It was a worse game in the sense it required strong tactical preparation (as CL knock outs do) and yeah we looked clueless. The worst game was Olympiacos. The team looked like they didn't try.
Inept is too kind a word to describe that game.
This is where I do think Ferguson should be held accountable a bit more. He knew the man. He should have had the wit to know Moyes didn't have the balls for it.
100% Agreed. Couldn't believe wtf I was watching. All those crosses felt like watching Groundhog Day.That Fulham game too was my lowest point in football....It felt like the scousers had maybe employed Moyes under cover to do a one man wrecking ball mission on the club....I was amazed that he wasn't sacked after that game....Unfortunately despite being a good honest man - he turned out to be more Steve Kean than Jock Stein
