Someone on the PR team really needs to evaluate themselves here. Although the phrase fits the face nicely.

The sheer hatred towards Salmond is a bit strange...
A politician with very few explanations to questions with the response 'this is an attack by Westminster' on everything.
He and many in the Yes campaign, who object to constantly having to remind people that independence and Alex Salmond aren't one and the same. Think his days are numbered, to be honest. If you say so.
If you say so.

I can't stand the man. If there was a better politician leading the Independence push, they would have had the result sewn up by now. There are a number of people who want independence yet are not fans of Salmond and are worried where he will lead them.
Year out of date and does not address the funding of Salmon's spending commitments.
You can't vote for this shit without an agreed plan for currency unless you're a bampot.
I don't have a problem with the Scots voting for independence (aside from it screwing Labour, but that may be no bad thing in the long run). I have a real problem with a populist windbag who as no real grasp of economics or realpolitik. Dangerous forkkwit. It's fecking madness, isn't it? The closer it gets to polling day, the more insane the whole thing seems.
He does have a grasp of economics, though. His education was all about business and economics, and he spent several years in a bank. He's deliberately deceiving Yes supporters to get the vote - as politicians will do. You voiced concerns about the Oil. That gives you plenty information. The fact it was published in 2013 isn't really relevant. It still shows the basis for a lot of Salmond's spending commitments. If people don't like Salmond's plans then they don't need to vote for him or SNP post-independence...

I don't think he does - whatever his ostensible credentials. You cannot be taken seriously if you don't have agreed/nailed-down solutions to currency - it's forking madness. Yes, I thought your post above was a very well-argued demolition (for a Leeds fan).spot on!
No you forking don't. You colonised a country which doesn't give you a moral right to influence their own self-determination.I would like to make a point which has been referenced but not really expressed properly (this follows a discussion with my Scottish GF).
I am a UK citizen. The UK is my country. Scotland leaving the Union affects my country in a huge way. Now I realise that it is not realistically viable to give the entire UK a vote on a subject like this, but I more just want to point out that it affects more than just the Scots. I, or any other UK citizen, have just as much a right to be passionate about Scottish independence and to argue my opinions, as a Scot does.

Obvious attempt to tell us about your Scottish girlfriend is obvious.I would like to make a point which has been referenced but not really expressed properly (this follows a discussion with my Scottish GF).

I'm in Spain and have drunk more than a little sangria so my sarcasm detector may be a little off. If you are genuine and would like to continue this line of conversation tomorrow, I wi be happy to oblige.
Of course you can 'keep the pound' or you can 'adopt the dollar' as a lot of small countries have. But that's not the real story.Scotland would keep the pound. Also, people seem to forget if Scotland votes yes then that isn't the end there and then. There's 2 years of time to get issues set in stone.[/MEDIA]
My concerns of how Salmond will fund his plans is based on reports writtten in August 2014 which with an ounce of sense can see is likely to be more relevant than one written a year ago.
Some Scottish people want independence. Some don't. They're gonna have a vote to decide who gets their way.
Also, posting videos about Scottish independence, that aren't available in the UK, is a tad unhelpful.
Yeah, there's a bit more to it. In fact, I'd go as far to say there is more to it than is realistic to expect to be summarised in a post. What a useless post.
The issue is obviously more complicated than that. Why do they want out? What do they gain? What do they lose (e.g. a currency)?
As for posting a video you can't watch...how exactly am I suppose to know that?

You could always read the thread, if you're interested. Or an article. Or watch more videos online...
Okay. Well, I'm English and I want them to vote no, because the thought of having to write my nationality as "English" on a census makes me feel ill. That's about all I can contribute of worth.Fair enough, I figured I'd just start talking to people and see what happened. Oh well.

Possibly. Rather fond of their booze and have a few good friends up there. Could probably find a Scottish great grandparent if required to legitimise my claims of Scottishness.I guess you could move there if they vote yes?
