Gay Marriage

Whats pricking around with the manufacturing of human life just so that two men can rear a child got to do with smallpox or the common cold?

I've lost count of the amount doctors and consultants that I've been too on both sides of the Irish Sea and I have had to learn to accept things about life that I think homosexuals should as well.

Without knowing why you've seen all those doctors I have to ask if you learned to accept those things because the doctors were unable to help you for some reason or was it someone else's notion of what is and isn't natural that forced you into accepting them?

I must say as an atheist I find the whole notion a bit silly. If nature created a being that can then through its nature create its progeny through surrogacy, is that unnatural? Nature made it happen!

The actions of the No campaign have been really appalling during this campaign.
The dirty scare tactic of bringing childrens welfare into the debate, despite its complete irrelevance to the topic at hand was truly wrong.

Quite aside from the fact that this referendum will have no bearing on surrogacy or adoption rights, the No campaign is spearheaded, financed and manipulated by an institution that should be the very last organisation on Earth to have a say on childrens welfare.

The lack of any kind of relevant argument from any no voters I have spoken to is very frustrating. They listen to what I have to say, have no counter argument for any of the points made but yet still say they are voting no

I'd have thought you'd be used to it, given that you spend time on an Internet forum.

Come Mothers and Fathers throughout the land
And don't criticise what you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command
Your old road's rapidly ageing
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand
'Cause the times they are a changing.

Dylan knew the deal.

Wait a second. An internet argument where one part concedes the point?

I'm so thankful I don't have two dads sleeping together. Is it wrong to say this if I think it?
The law and media pressure make it awkward to say what you think?
Is the problem me, or is media pressure trying to make me think positively about something that's horrible from every angle.

In this instance, it's you.

I think you need to stop thinking about men having sex with each other if you find it so horrible.

How many angles have you tried gay sex from?

Yeah but what about two mums

It's you. Of course you're allowed to say what you think but you should expect your views to be challenged by people that disagree, such as myself and many others on here.

I'll never understand why your gay would find a man's arsehole a turn-on. Getting noshed is fine but a bloke's pooper is fecking minging at the best of times.

When it's your two dads it kinda forces into embracing it.
If it's something you find revolting, is it simply a culture shock because we're not used to it, and so we need time to get used to it. Or am I just a prejudiced bastard for struggling to come to terms with it?
Help me out here

I dont find the idea of my parents having sex a pleasant one, regardless of their sex.

I dont find 2 men having sex revolting anyway, that seems distinctly silly.

Back when I was a kid, it would have been torture to go through school having two dads shacked up together.
I guess it could be different now.

It probably still would be, kids are cruel bastards. I wouldn't base right or wrong on what schoolkids give each other grief over
(ban glasses btw!!!! fecking specky four eyed bastards)

Ban ginger hair and fatness.

There's no such thing tbh. The media reflect the views of society, not the other round. Whatever pressure you feel is from people all around you.

Do you regularly think about your mother and father having sex?

It's something most people take for granted.
We kinda understand who the giver and taker is, and why.

I dunno, I still find the thought of my parents having sex fairly horrible. Luckily with them being divorced I don't have to worry about that happening, sanctity of marriage and all that.

I suspect homosexuals would have an equally visceral reaction to hetero sex, tbh.

It's precisely because people need to come to terms with it that it needs to be front and centre. It has to be normalized throughout society. People'll never change if it's not.

You're right, now you only have to think about both of them doing it with other people.
