He's definitely on his way then.
And the bedding in process, too. It really could cost us a lot of points.I think it's fairly obvious Madrid would have made an offer by now. We're just holding out for a better deal in terms of the fee or trying to get Ramos. I don't blame us for not giving in easily, but the disadvantage to that is we won't have a top GK for the first few games of the season.
You tell the player in no uncertain terms, and have his management sort it one way or the other.
The start of our season is in complete disarray now, and that bedding in of whoever will be the #1 could cost us upteen points.
Tbf he was shocking vs PSG, I can see why the coaches have doubts about his focus...
Why is he still here then? If his head isn't right then we should of sold him and got an adequate replacement in ready to go. Crap preparation from the manager. De Gea is a fanny.
Barcelona playing Pedro despite the fact that he's almost certainly joining us, but we deny De Gea is leaving and then leave him out for opening day. I worry about how we do our business sometimes.
We've handled this poorly.
The fee issue is one thing, this whole saga affecting the start of our campaign - and it could be up to 8 games before the new guy is settled in - is the bigger issue. And you kiss goodbye to a decent fee, which I'm okay with.
If that happens then, for me, Woody would have to consider his position - he's staked his reputation on De Gea not going without Ramos coming the other way.

We're starting the season with no [quality] keeper, and a backline who don't know their arse from their elbow - assuming Blind is at LCB.
We could be rueing this months later. Very, very silly.
All the way through? I thought we'd done a good job until now.
It is a shame that they have to put in my mouth words that I never said to get a story, once more...
One day before the start of the season and we haven't bought a centre half while left with Valdes and a keeper released by Sampdoria as our number 1![]()
Because Madrid clearly still havent offered us a decent value for him yet?
Well, she can go feck herself for not setting the record straight in any case.
If we lose DDG, I want both Ed and LVG's heads rolling down for creating the mess they got in. In Van Gaal's case, all this shit is a reflection of the Kraft situation at Bayern.
Pedro and De Gea aren't the same person, their psychology is different and their current states of mind probably are, too.
For a few million less, we better off selling him. This farce has disrupted our season. It's down to LVG and Woodward.
Fergie and Gill would have got Perez to pay up in June.
Are you serious?Well, she can go feck herself for not setting the record straight in any case.

Na, he signs the contract or he can stay on the bench. We have enough bodsies in midfield now to protect our defence. I don't blame anyone but De Gae himself, he played all this contract game poorly. We've handled this poorly.
A few millions, so you would have accept 10m?
Are you serious?
So we're not selling to Madrid until we get a good valuation (say £30 million) or get Ramos in return, but we don't think he's in the right frame of mind to start games! What the feck is the point of keeping him then?
LVG's decision to publicly announce it means Real can offer cheap money (which they have wanted to do all this time) or just leave him until January then get the pre-contract sorted. We've maintained a hard-stance all summer, to give that up on the eve of the season is really poor management. This saga should've been sorted out, it's an unnecessary distraction.
The only person to blame is De Gea
We want £30m. They willing to pay £20m, if reports are true. £20m with a few add ons for a player in his last year is not bad business. Toni Kroos went for £20m in the same situation.
They should have begged him to stay then? For their shared responsibility in this mess, yes.
In Bayern, they (Hoeness, Rummenigge, etc.) fought the right words and the right approach to have that SOB named Franck Ribery, a Frenchman who doesn't have to give a shit about Germany, stay in Munich. Meanwhile, our higher-ups know just shit about how to convince key non-English players to stay.
It's not Madrid we have to concern ourselves with here. You tell the player there is such and such a time that his move away will be sanctioned by, if that passes, he will stay, if not, he goes. Then his management can go and beg Madrid. If they're good at their jobs, he gets his move, if not, he doesn't.Once again, if Madrid hasn't made an offer, there is nothing we can do.
We have left ourself in a situation where Sampdorias back up keeper they released will start our first game of the season in goals. Madrid will just wait till next summer and take De Gea on a free.
